  1. Retro Eat sign w arrow

Oh and I posted this a while back, here is an example of that type of sign with no open neon... it looks larger than 20" This may be an alternative for your situation.... http://www.helmsworkshop.com/work-and-play/project/8/
  2. Retro Eat sign w arrow

I'm not into PM's but my knee jerk reaction is... Will the city code allow that sign up? Will the sign be installed in an area the restaurant has control of? I have proposed signs like this before, only to get shot down because the sign was being mounted on an area of the wall where another...
  3. $75,000

I understand why it cost so much... A small percentage of graphic designers use the GAG book to price out their design work. The designer in question used to work for one of the high end design firms, so her average logo price is going to be considerably higher than sign shops. She is used to...
  4. My attempts at Vehicle half wraps

Oh and I forgot... lose the Comic Sans too... next to brush Script, it's the joke typeface of all time... and that red phone number with the white outline is not very legible. the prospector guy is a little rough http://bancomicsans.com/main/
  5. My attempts at Vehicle half wraps

Change the logo.. hopefully for the better. Keeping a poor logo could never be good for business and I highly doubt there is enough "brand equity" to slow your business growth. in fact improving the logo will probably help. On your vehicle, poor use of display type... and please, no Papyrus...

  9. Can we talk about my logos?

Yeah I'm really not joking... all this stuff you commented on is just adding to the noise. I really do value my time and try to make the best of it... kinda like Doug, I would talk to any man like this right to their face because I am a nice guy who tries really hard to tell it like it is...
  10. $75,000

    Woof!
  11. Can we talk about my logos?

Thanks Doug, I wonder why I did not see that? Lubed response is: I think you are almost there, but your work lacks concept, balance, and a certain level of style... Unlubed: This is marginal vinyl sign guy design work, after 6-9 years, you should be better than this. Okay it's been 6...
  12. Can we talk about my logos?

Hey, I have to ask, being that I have been on design forums for over 12 years, it is very common for a newbie member to get all uptight about their work... So you want it lubed or unlubed, it's a good question... and oh yeah, I see no introduction, so how long have you been designing and are...
  13. Can we talk about my logos?

Do you want it right between the eyes, or do you want me to beat around the bush?
  14. Farmers Market Logo

I seem 'em now! I may need to get myself over to a farmers market...
  15. Gypsy Graphics...

GG Turned me into a newt! ... I got better...
  16. Darn Dumpster Divers.....

We had dumpster divers going through my trash, an older couple. I walked out and talked to them about what they were looking for. They looked at me as if i was about to yell at them, then I told them to relax, and tell me what they were looking to recycle, as I suspected, they told me they were...
  17. Another Band Logo

Looks more like a logo for a pellet gun manufacturer than a band logo.... Oh yeah, it would help to know what kind of music they play, otherwise we have to assume it's BB Rock, Varmint Country, or Zombie Fowl Themed Psychobilly....
  18. Apple, what a fad....

    You know what? I don't give a crap! >Oh no, I'm turning into a crabby old man!<
  19. Glue to mount signage, Need input

Over here in California, more and more the building departments now want to see pins on drawing/permit submittal on anything 2+ lbs and over 80" whether it's foam letters or an aluminum panel.
  20. Glue to mount signage, Need input

If this is exterior, and overhead (above 80") I would make a backer with pins (either plug welded, or countersunk screws deep enough to make pins out of) then attach the sign to the backer with either Lords adhesive epoxy or similar or VHB, then pin mount sign to exterior substrate with some...
