  1. Move Your Money

I moved my accounts to a local credit union a few years ago, best decision i've made in a long time. personal service, great interest rates, much lower fees. All the services that a big bank offers, most credit unions can do as well. And I believe you are eligible to use one of the best...
  2. can you remove a print? from a uv flatbed?

I agree, as much as I hate wasting material (for both financial and environmental reasons) I think the time spent cleaning these would cost more than the material you are saving. Can you keep them and put a vinyl print over the faces next time a customer is looking for inexpensive coro signs...
  3. another retractable return!!!

:goodpost: This is what we do as well, roll the print out a good 8 inches before you cut it off the printer, we have never had a print on decolit come back do to becoming unstuck from the leader strip
  4. Laser Engraving/Cutting

We currently have 2 Trotec lasers and have been laser engraving for the last 10-12 years, so if you have any questions about them you can shoot me a PM. As far as cutting gator foam, i would think the amount of heat generated would melt the inner foam core of the material, but you might be able...
  5. Estimate Software LOCKED!!

Yeah, when the software is telling me i should sell 100 1 colour decals 8"x2" for $0.40 each, there is something wrong, that doesn't even cover my materials, let alone my time!
  6. Estimate Software LOCKED!!

We also have estimate for pricing our edge decals, I'm not sure of your experience, but we have found it to quote extremely low, on occasion we have had to add 400 - 500% to it's suggested price in order to bring the job inline with reality. the other plugins work great but the thermal printing...
  7. Copying old software cd's

I would reccomend using CloneCD http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonecd.html it makes an exact copy of the cd, including any copy protection that may be on it, I have used it in the past for exactly what you are trying to achieve.
  8. Beachfront house sign before and after...

My nephew mows lawns, he'll undercut anyone elses quote too!
  9. How to do this?

I would use 1/16" thick Macralon for this, if you use a good vinyl it won't buckle.
  10. Beachfront house sign before and after...

LOL, I can't tell if this guy is serious or not, isn't this the guy that mows laws and makes signs on the side?
  11. Gerber Back-Cut ROCKS!

cool! I don't have the envision plotter, or a new enough version of Omega to do this, but wouldn't this chew through blades and cutting strips very quickly?
  12. Kayak wrap...

My friend lives within spitting distance of the sleeman brewery in Guelph, some days it smells amazing!
  13. Kayak wrap...

    Nice looking beaver!
  14. my gloss laminate has modelling on it!!!

Barry: What brand is the lam? we've had this happen with a few different brands, mostly with the last 5yrds or so on the roll, I always just assumed the lam was rolled to tightly against the inner core.
  15. Gotta love Some customers.

We have you all beat, the building we are currently renting used to have a glass company in it about 15-20 years ago, about once a year we still get old guys walk into the shop, look around for a few minutes and ask if we can cut some glass for them.
  16. Reverse Print Decals

a Gerber Edge would do a very nice job on these decals
  17. Cartridge recycling woes - Challenge: Canadian

That's over a year old, plus knowing staples, they probably won't touch the big solvent carts, they just want the little ones from desktop printers
  18. Cartridge recycling woes - Challenge: Canadian

I've been looking for something similar, have yet to find anything up here. Staples won't take them as it's an american promotion. Have you tried contacting some of the ink and media suppliers? There was talk of all graphics supplies offering this about a year ago, but I don't think anything...
  19. Hello and an apology from se Pa.

are you saying hello or complaining about the price of becoming a MM? $300 is less than you would pay for a business card sized ad in a local county newspaper for a week!
  20. Banners

:goodpost: i wouldn't worry, unless everyone is saying you are too expensive or too cheap, if you are getting a good mix, it probably means your pricing is pretty good for your area.
