Thanks for all the input guys! Much appreciated. I don't think I will ever resort to using the hollow corrugated sheets. The solid core seems like a much better all around material.
We will definitely be using the Nudo brand Poly-metal panels. Has anyone used these with adverse results...
What would be the preferred application for each? The reason I ask is because Poly-metal is cheaper and seems much more rigid that Alumacorr. So why even use Alumacorr? Wouldn't Poly-metal be the best choice for any job where the substrate is firmly secured to a framework, wall, or other flat...
Taken from About.com website:
"If your business conducts a potentially dangerous activity or interacts with the public in a significant way, then your business insurer may insist upon your business using release of liability forms or liability waivers (the terms are interchangeable and will be...
If you are doing a large scale sign installation, or even something small, is it a good idea to have a liability release form of some sort for the client to sign before work is performed? If so, any idea where one could find such a form suited specifically toward sign shops?
Personally, I had no problem identifying the salon chair although it could maybe use a little better referencing as it could be a bit less foot like and more chairlike. Matter of fact the concept could work well with more traditional salon icons such as a hair dryer, scissors or even a female...
I'm with Fat Cat on the poly metal suggestion. A seam will barely be noticeable. Or my other choice would be to just go with the polycarbonate sheet. It's easy enough to get in a 14 foot length but it will probably cost you quite a bit more than the poly metal.
Bill hit the nail right on the head. "Mother's Day Brunch" is easily readable and the eyes are immediately drawn to it on his layout. You left a lot of dead space in your layout and I really don't get what's going on with the inverted triangle. You can prioritize copy and still manage to work...
I think the biggest problem is your light source. It's all over the place with no apparent rhyme or reason. It's a prime reason why your leg looks funny. One leg is lit from one direction and the other leg from a completely different direction. It creates a weird shadow in the groin area...
Anyone have any idea on this one? I tried cleaning it up and using what the font, but script fonts never seem to be easy to identify online and I'm clueless as to what this one could be. I also Googled script fonts for about twenty minutes to no avail. Thanks in advance.
Sure anyone can learn but not anyone can be a good designer. If you have no art skills you can only be so good no matter how hard you try. You can't build a solid house without first building a solid foundation.
Thanks for the great responses. We were figuring on going with stainless self tapping screws but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get other opinions. I had also considered the self tapping hex screws colored to match the ivory panels but I'm afraid those will be very noticeable even from the...
We may be picking up our first large scale vinyl sign job and I need opinions on the very best fasteners to mount alumacore substrate to a galvanized steel frame. To better explain I've included a photo of the signs framework that the 4' x 8' sheets will be attached to. I would prefer a...
Thank you so much! Playbill it is! I can just trace the other if it's not a font that can be identified. But hopefully someone knows that one if it exists.
:thankyou::U Rock:
