  1. Thoughts, questions, concerns?

In my opinion, everything looks great, but I would take the "24 Hour Service" and rotate it about 30 degrees counterclockwise and center it at the top toward the back of the van, anything you put below the stripe looks very distracting. Do that and I think you've nailed it. (EDIT) Oops, I...
  2. Finally taking time to work on something for myself.

Wow. That thing looks sick, especially when compared to the before pic. Great job!
  3. 8' x 8' polycarbonate lighted sign panels

:notworthy: I think that is exactly the kind of hook up I am looking for. Thank you very much for sharing.
  4. 8' x 8' polycarbonate lighted sign panels

Thanks for the help, fellas. I will keep that in mind.
  5. 8' x 8' polycarbonate lighted sign panels

I will have to call them then. I was under the assumption they only carry it in 4 or 5 foot width rolls. Anymore I assume Grimco never has what I want because...well...they generally don't. I'm not a huge fan.
  6. 8' x 8' polycarbonate lighted sign panels

We are estimating a lighted sign panel replacement job that requires two 8' x 8' sheets of polycarbonate. We can find the panels we need in those dimensions but it's only available in .150 thickness. These panels will be installed in an open high wind area. Is .150 thick enough to do the job...

  8. Felt like doing some drawing tonight...

You mean to tell me nobody else sees the man in the tree? It appears almost intentional.
  9. Felt like doing some drawing tonight...

All I see is a man in a hat with sunglasses and a tree limb where his manliness should be.
  10. Winery Signs

Wow. Beautiful finished product! Great job.
  11. Just starting...

Let me share my experience with you and hopefully it will guide you down the right path. I started cutting vinyl a couple years ago as a hobby, more or less. I saved up a couple grand and decided rather than go with a Roland, Graphtec, etc. I would try out the Copam CP-2400 from US Cutter. I...
  12. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

I'm really not feeling that at all. I cut 75 yards of cast vinyl today in 6 hours and didn't scrap so much as one piece due to tracking issues. I cut as much as 24 feet in one single shot and the cutter didn't walk more than 1/2" off course the entire length. I'm very impressed with this...
  13. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

Well, the tracking so far on some 8 foot cuts is fantastic. It's a little weird trying to get the roll lined up but I'm sure with practice I will get it down better. The only problem I am having thus far is the roll wants to come of the holder pretty easy. So I'm wondering...will I have...
  14. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

Thanks for the tip, Josh. I've always done that to set up my old cutter, but I wondered how I was going to do that with the rollers being behind the machine the way they are on this one. The way you describe makes complete sense and I'm hoping we don't have terrible tracking issues. We almost...
  15. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

Thanks for all the info, everyone. We bought the cutter with the stand and set it up last night. We had checked this model over thoroughly at a trade show a few months back and I was personally very impressed with the build of it. The finish is immaculate, and it is a very sharp looking...
  16. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

We are upgrading our vinyl cutter with the purchase of a Roland GX-24 Camm-1 today. We have been using a cheapo US Cutter Copam CP-2500 for the last two years with less than satisfactory results on anything we try to cut over 6 feet long....yes only 6 feet. As if the bad tracking isn't enough...
  17. Which Signs 101 Style Do You Prefer?

I absolutely couldn't agree more. The carbon is too busy for my tastes. I feel like I should be racing down the interstate at 140 mph. The harvest is very pleasing to the eyes. Like Gemma Atkinson in a bikini.
  18. Logo Opinions

Maybe I'm out of line for saying this, but if you don't want feedback, good or bad, don't waste people's time posting designs for critique and then come off like a self righteous jerk about it when people are just being honest. Sure, there are all walks of life here with all levels of design...
  19. nowhere else to go

I think your first mistake is that you are trying to literally incorporate Texas into your logo. I would scratch that idea as I doubt any of your potential customers in Uruguay are going to make the connection, let alone care. I tend to always stick to the less is more approach of designing...
  20. New Logo

Very nice logo. The way you stylized the border into a Victorian style motif is impressive. If Quantum were my company, it's probably not the direction I would have wanted to go with my branding, but that's just me. When I think "Quantum" I can't help but think purely modern and tech and...
