  1. Can't find the font

Delima regular is close but no cigar.
  2. Who knows this one?

Any idea what font the "WEBB'S" is? And also the "Roadhouse Bar & Grill" font? I'm designing a t-shirt for them and all they gave me is jpeg images to work from. I have to layout something that includes the text, but not the bull. Thanks in advance. :) EDIT: The "WEBB'S" font has been...
  3. Drawing in Corel

I personally have no problem at all drawing with a mouse. I have a Wacom bamboo but never use it. To draw with the mouse I use predominantly three tools, b spline, freehand, and artistic media. Works well for me.
  4. Corvette done this week

Very cool! What product did you wrap that with?
  5. Snowboarding project

You're right Jill. The blue board and goggles really does look way better.
  6. Snowboarding project

Yep, blue compliments orange and vice versa. I might try changing the board color around. I hadn't really thought about it much. Most of the newer boards are so edgy, bright neon colors are popular on bases. I'm not so sure I want more blue in it though. I could just make the board and...
  7. Snowboarding project

The hard lines on the rider definitely do make it pop and make the rest of it look flat but I kinda want it subdued at least to some point. It definitely can use more depth. The blurred edges on the hills give it a cheap sense of depth but I really need to do more with the contour of the hills...
  8. Snowboarding project

Oh, man! I'm so envious. Especially since this year was a total bummer for me living in Illinois and starting a new business. I had to limit my snowboarding to one day in Wisconsin this year. But I guess since I didn't have the budget to go riding it couldn't have happened at a better time...
  9. Snowboarding project

This is a little project I did for myself in Corel Draw. Just thought I would share it. I'm most likely going to have a 24" x 30" poster made of it for framing. Critiques and ideas are always welcome. Thanks for looking.
  10. Pub Logo

I have also noticed that you use more pastel, subdued colors than some, but it fits your style perfectly and I actually figured you use those colors on purpose. Most of your color choices feel very "earthy" to me and I like it. I think if you went with more blazing colors it wouldn't really...
  11. Pub Logo

Great job, Joe. If I had to give any advice to critique this piece I couldn't so I think you've done your job here. It's awesome how a simple misinterpretation of handwriting can result in a fantastic creative concept. Oh yeah, and I also think the colored version would make a really cool...
  12. Ghosting pictures?

I just happened to be reading over a few posts this morning while getting ready for work and it also just so happens I had a '02 Mack truck coming in for some vinyl removal and new graphics. So I figured it would be a perfect opportunity to collect a picture for you to show your client. This...
  13. Better tracing results in corel?

I also vote Inkscape. Tyrant hit the nail right on the head.
  14. avery vs Oracal

I'm sorry but what was the point of all this math? Seems like smoke and mirrors to prove a moot point when all the info one really needs to consider is what you already stated. 751 is well over twice the price of 651. No half cents needed for that equation. Now with that aside, I think...
  15. MDO Edges

I just prefer to work with MDO because it involves a lot of hand craftsmanship and no shortcuts. When I can pick up a sheet of 3/4" at Menard's for $50, cut it, route it, fill and seal it, paint it, and put some nice graphics on it, it makes my job very enjoyable and I can preserve a bit more...

  17. MDO Edges

We seal our mdo edges first with Plastic Wood putty. I think Dap makes it. The putty fills any of the large voids between laminates and dries quickly. Then we seal the edges all over with Titebond wood glue. Then we prime with Zinsser oil base primer and top coat with 3 coats of Rustoleum...
  18. Vinyl Removal Job

You're making me cringe. I'm definitely familiar enough with reflective to know it seldom comes off in one piece. I'm guessing that's how this job will be if we get it.
  19. Vinyl Removal Job

Good point. My brain keeps telling me I should be more in the $3,000-3,500 ballpark because I'm new to the business and I always tend to bid pretty low but the cutting, weeding, taping, and application of these graphics should be a piece of cake. It's the removal I'm really concerned about.
  20. Vinyl Removal Job

So far, for an estimate to do the new graphics, I've come up with $2,590.50. Does that sound unreasonable for this kind of job? I'm thinking it's pretty cheap if anything. I would be using Oralite 5600 reflective and Oracal 951 cast for the graphics.
