  1. Craptasmigorical.

Oh hell no! I am fairly certain that it would cost nowhere near as much to convert to Cadlink. Try sending a PM to Rod (from Cadlink). Explain your situation and your requirements. I am sure that they will try and do whatever possible. I am not saying that Cadlink is your only alternative...
  2. Craptasmigorical.

I have been using SignLab since 4.95, and have always been happy with it. Cadlink will give a nice "competing discount" to legitimate license holders of the competition's products.
  3. CNC Software programs

The learning curve can be quite steep. If you are accustomed to Adobe & Corel, your easiest avenue will be via Cadlink or SAI packages (I prefer Cadlink). This would keep you from having to spend lots of time learning the usual CAD and CAM programs.

Check your PM for a contact near you.
  5. Anyone Using Mach 3 Software for CNC?

Get ready for the learning curve.. I use the Mach 3 controller. There are others that are available, and free, but the most common runs under Linux. I prefer Mach 3 because it has an excellent support system and some excellent capabilities. What were you going to use for CAM?

  11. So MUTOH it is...

The Lyson 2100 inks are nice. Stronger bite, a bit more odor, faster drying. Still should make new profiles.

  13. CammJet CJ70 - Decent machine?

CJ heads are available, just not from Roland anymore.
  14. Customer won't pay !! What would you do?

In Florida... - Never accept a post dated check. They are viewed as an extension of credit and only allow civil recourse. - Never agree to hold a check (even if not post dated). That action is also viewed as an extension of credit.
  15. Customer won't pay !! What would you do?

Scott, Without an actual workorder, which must include various clauses (as stated Dept. of Agricul.), you will not be able to get a lien on the truck. The transmittal of a worthless check is indeed a crime, and probably even you second best insurance to getting paid. The downside is that...

  17. plotter cutting funny

We just went through the same type of problem. From what we were told, two of the most common causes are the solenoid and/or the bearings for the carriage. In our case we ended up replacing the carriage bearings.
