I like that idea for sure, but typically I am the only one getting the material and loading, and it doesn't seem too easy for one person taking and putting back a full roll of 54" vinyl on that....I don't know. Maybe we'll do 1 wall and keep lesser rolls on it and see how it goes.

I'd say you did what you were told, if his customer has an issue with it then it is on him....they are HIS customer, not yours right? He should pay for a reprint if he wants one.

Weird. I all but dumped any Oracal intermediates in favor of IJ-35, for the HP Latex. The thicker liner is what did it, as it doesn't buckle due to the heat. All my Oracals did, and dropping the heat a little caused my inks to not cure properly and would smear.

This is complete false line of thinking. RGB definitely has it's place in printing, especially with the wider color gamut. There is numerous info on line regarding RGB/CMYK. Edit: Didn't see all the posts regarding this topic. Disregard.

This can happen on any printer, not just Mimaki. Each pass type needs a separate profile. Most canned profiles you download from vendors will be in 1 or 2 pass types, typically a 'standard' and a 'high quality' setting. If I build profiles for a media, I have to do it in 3 different pass...

Yeah I've seen those type...may be the way to go, especially for 54" and 60" rolls. We have welder here (not for hire!) so we can get us some tubing and bust out a few of those. Thanks!

Right now, we have a small media room with all the rolls of print media, banner, lam, etc... We basically have them (most all) on custom made boards with the plastic end cap things the rolls come with, screwed on (see pic), but we have a lot of just stray rolls, waiting to be knocked down like...

Looks like your yellow line is feeding magenta ink....is there any chance the wrong in the slot? I don't know if that's possible on the HP.

I find greys tend to either lean to the green side, or the purple side. Trick is finding that middle. Was it a specific PMS or just a color you 'picked' in the PS? When I print any greys, I actually shoot for a near purplish look, then once laminated it is where I need it, due to lam usually...

I have ceased printing on ANY gloss banner due to this. Matte only now, on Solvent and Latex, and in my opinion, looks SO much better. If they request gloss, we'll do it. Most people don't know there's any choice.

If it''s that big of an issue, offer to reprint that panel and reapply, charging them accordingly. It wasn't your fault, right?

I had this problem a while back. I ended up changing the IP address on the printer and then referencing that in the RIP settings. Worked ever since. Don't ask me why....something with the network didn't approve of the original IP address that was set.

I'm using 10, no dongle...that's correct, it registers and verifies online.

While on this topic, anyone know how to acquire the latest Pantone Table for Flexi with the newest colors? I'm on version 10.5.1, but the current Pantone table is missing many colors. I've looked around on SAI website but don't see anything. EDIT: Nevermind. Had it all along...just missed the +
