Interesting Jason.
Well we had a Phototex print in our foyer printed on our Roland that got wet from a leaking a/c water drain and it washed all the ink off that too.
I have a profile we made for phototex on the L25500 if you're using onyx.
I can let you have it to try if you want.
Edit - solvent type.
We haven't actually run a job on it yet.
Test print looked pretty sweet though.
I should have said Roland if it's your only printer.
We also have an HP but I wouldn't trust it as an only printer.
We haven't found a pullup banner media that it doesn't destroy yet.
After my last upgrade to 10.2(?) I had the same thing.
Wouldn't let me preflight from Ripqueue.
I rebooted a couple of times and it came good.
Yes they now charge for tech support.
I never had much luck with them when it was free.
Who knows maybe it's better now.
From memory there's...
Haha.
That sign is atrocious.
But I bet it was CHEAP.
He bought a plotter but he can't buy years of experience.
Pretty sure he'll have his hands too full screwing up to bother you much.
That's how we do it Jigsaw.
Vinyl costs no more than paper and comes off easily if need be.
Prints look better on the outside if that's an option they'll go with.
I would recommend Summa for sure.
We have a D160 and it is awesome.
We cut directly from Illustrator through Winplot and if you turn on xy opos it will measure any bowing caused by heat and compensate.
I have a 1600mm wide Summa and it is awesome.
You know vinyl comes in 1500mm wide rolls too?
Before this I shortsightedly bought a 1200 wide one not realising I'd have to trim down every 54" roll I put in the thing.
