    Very tidy work.
  2. Illustrator Clipping Mask Help

This is what I would do. PDFs crop to the page.
  3. Client wants photo for background for a large entrance sign....can it work?

Squint. You can't read any of it.
  4. Hard Candy Fitness

Thanks. Router cut MDF board, each piece 3 sections screwed and glued to make 65mm thick then sprayed two pack polyurethane. Done in sections to fit in existing vertical slat wall. It was a bit of a nightmare but looked good in the end.
  5. G'day from Sydney, Australia

Hi, What Jason said. They'll all be there today. Brian
  6. Hard Candy Fitness

A Madonna themed gym? I never heard of it before now, but it all came together ok in the end. There was a LOT of digital print. Murals, wallpaper and a couple of laser cut logos. Their inhouse designer did the layouts. I think she did a nice job. All printed on our Rolands. LG polymeric vinyl...
  7. Hahahaha

    Curlz.
  8. need part for my L25500, please help!

I still have two Rolands. Rock solid, simple, reliable machines with great print quality. I like the latex too, I just wouldn't trust HP enough to have one for an only machine.
  9. L25500 extended warranty

    I've signed up.
  10. need part for my L25500, please help!

I'd like to see how that is done. Wouldn't that just throw a different error code?
  11. need part for my L25500, please help!

I guess the lesson is if you are relying on one of these for your only printer buy two. Because if HP don't have the part nobody does. This segment of their business is miniscule so good luck finding anyone who cares about your problem.
  12. need part for my L25500, please help!

Ahh this reminds me. I started in digital print with a CP3000 and pretty much opened a shop based on it. A part failed - belt or drive motor (?) and they told me the same thing. The part was made in Spain and they wouldn't have any available for 3 months. Oh the noise I made and the chain of...
  13. Wow, are new business owners really that naive?

Either that, or they are pleading their case for cheap cheap signage.
  14. phone etiquette

I try and get people to email me rather than phone. Of course initial phone calls are a necessary part of doing business and we need them. Emailing forces them to focus on their point instead of having to go through pleasantries first, and then they start to think about what they want to say...
  15. Fuji Xerox 1250 Sydney Oz

I've had this since new, about 10 years. Fuji Xerox have decided to stop supporting it early next year but I spoke to a copy repair joint who will do a service agreement to keep it running. Still works well. It comes with a Mac which runs the Splash RIP. You can use it as an A3 scanner...
  16. HP 5500 DesignJet- Worth having?

I started in print with HP aqueous printers. On the right media and laminate prints can last outdoors for years. Trouble is, the right media is not cheap. Nor are the inks. They are good poster printers too. I wouldn't bother with dye ink. Unlaminated on instant dry paper dye inks fade really...
  17. Thinking of taking the plunge and getting away from Corel

I haven't used Corel for years and haven't missed it either.
  18. HP Design Jet 2000,

    Check the lid switch?
  19. Anyone Tried Argyll?

Bumping this thread. Has anyone used this free open source profiling software? I'm interested. Onyx 10 has discontinued support for an old Epson4000 printer we have and it doesn't really make sense shelling out thousands on a separate rip or Profilemaker. We use 3rd party inks in it and...
