  1. Illustrator Clipping Mask Help

Create your artboard to the area you need to clip. Position the graphic so all you need is inside the bounds of the artboard. Save as PDF. Done.
  2. Oracal 970ra problem.

Let me guess - this is your first wrap attempt?
  3. Laminate Nightmare on Perf

I am 100% serious. I NEVER laminate perf unless the job specs it (here in Ohio, that is a very rare occurance). Laminating perf does not provide enough protection to warrant the cost, and the fact that it makes it difficult to see ALL the time, rather than just when it rains, makes it more...
  4. Laminate Nightmare on Perf

Again - Don't laminate perf, unless the laws of your state require it.
  5. Laminate Nightmare on Perf

    dont lam perf. the end.
  6. Am I Crazy????????

I'm on the lower end on that kind of a job as well. .040 aluminum with H frame and matching rider would be around $60/ea here - and I'm pretty high for my area on this stuff.
  7. Well, it finally happened...

Yeah - I know. Unfortunately, it may be on the agenda sooner than later. I'd like to try and squeak at least another year out of this one....
  8. Well, it finally happened...

After nearly 3 years the media holder (bar) finally got dropped with a full roll of banner material on it. Both of the collars (grey and black) broke. Anyone have a source where I can order new collars?
  9. Signs101 Fantasy Football

I'm in for the paid league if there's a spot still open.
  10. Weigh-Ins for the signs101 Losers (the good kind!)

Hey all! Thought I'd share as well, since I'm starting another short juice fast today. (Probably 10-15 days - not sure yet). In any event, I'm down almost 70 lbs in the last 5 months. Here's a little "before and after"...
  11. One of those days...

So, install crew this morning drops a 5'x10' face from 25' in the air - busts it all up - gotta re-do it. Get 20' into a 60' print run, look close and realize that there's a pretty basic misspelling (this was a wholesale job - so at least I'm not out the cost - just the time) Get a call...
  12. Wrap Material - Hate to start a new thread but...

Oracal and Arlon have the most aggressive adhesives on the market. This makes them an absolute BIATCH to work with in the wrap arena. If I'm doing flat panel stuff (box trucks, transit, etc.) then I'll use Oracal all day long. Otherwise, I'm not touching that stuff with a 10' pole.
  13. Maybe not quite the right place, but.................

This person would obviously not be a fit for your culture, Gino  I personally would be pleasantly surprised to get this kind of resume, as this person probably WOULD be a personality fit with my culture here. Now, I dunno about their skills, etc., but like Adam said - 2 year tech school...
  14. Wrap Material - Hate to start a new thread but...

What Colorado said - although IMO, the difference in quality between the two is negligible.
  15. Does the company's success determine whether or not we made a great logo.

While Bob and Techman have valid points, I will say that a good brand (not just the logo symbol) can elevate a company in several ways. 1. Perception - In the same way we tell clients that a nicer sign will HELP them, a well thought out logo and brand implimentation will do the same thing. 2...
  16. CRAZY banding out of nowhere...

Actually - one one of the dampers, when I pulled it off, it did evacuate the line back towards the cartridge by about an inch. Could it be that simple of a problem?
  17. CRAZY banding out of nowhere...

Absolutely. Haven't changed carts lately because I run bulk ink. I'm hopin that it's just an isolated incident.
  18. CRAZY banding out of nowhere...

Yeah - that's what I'm afraid of...Ugh. Need to wait until someone is offering a killer trade in deal though :) On the note of this situation though - it is definitely a yellow only issue. Printing a 30" test run, the same insane banding cropped up at roughly 10" into the print, lasted for...
  19. CRAZY banding out of nowhere...

OK - i pulled the yellow dampers, and sloshed them around a little. Didn't see any chunks in there, so I re-seated them. Starting a long test run now (basically a triple stack of the blocks I printed earlier - 30" total of each color). We'll see what happens. I'll keep everyone updated.
  20. CRAZY banding out of nowhere...

Sp, pull and re-seat the dampers - or just switch out the yellow and cyan dampers and see what happens?
