i disagree on the calibration. I get this when I have a head going or some kind of specific damper clog. I would try a new damper and a head soak. calibrations won't hurt, but overspray is a hardware issue in my experience.

You should have been through 5-6 cap tops in that time. I would say that is the culprit.

warm it up with a hairdryer and it comes off in one piece. Heat gun is too much.

I had one that was bullet proof. The draw back is the high cost of media, dwindling factory support, and media durability. I really loved my machine, but I feel is totally obsolete.

Solaris inks from Fellers. Amazing inks. Just as good as OEM. I've used OEM LexJet, Triangle and Solaris. Rated in order. 1) OEM & Solaris 2) Triangle (very distant 2nd place) Last = LexJet. so horrible Lexjet pulled the ink.

That's good to hear. Glad it was a simple fix.

I cut 4" hole in the top of roland and hooked it up to a fan. Sucks the platen area of my eco ink. I still get smell with heavy printing so I made a cover over my entire printer. I don't notice the ink anymore. I don't care what roland says. I'd rather not smell the ink.
