I've been looking at a roland subtractive machine for a while. They call it rapid prototyper, but it's just a cnc machine.
I wonder what the substrate cost is like for on of the two part RP machines.
They are amazing.
I had this problem with mine. The rubber seal on the nipple where the head site bit the dust. Fixed after a new line set. You should be good for another ten years.
Quickest fix is installing sealed or oem cart in the affected channel. I've been having the same issues this week. Dropped in compatible carts and the drop out vanished.
Bump up your cleaning cycles too. This is the problem with bulk systems.
whenever I have any issues or need any customer service no one EVER gets back to me.
I like sending work your way, but the lack of communication is weak.
I understand you're a busy crew, but a reply the same day is nice.
Dice.
I regretfully have first hand knowledge that Triangle won't cover anything.
I've had bad bottles of ink. I've had at least one head a year burn up from the inks. I didn't mind the cost of a head because of ink savings, but they still burned up.
When I called for warranty or tech...
1110 fried your head. I used LEXJET inks when they introduced them for Roland a few years ago. FRIED all my heads in about two weeks.
They were jerks about it too. They don't carry Roland ink anymore. They said they would honor my ink train. They didn't.
I used Triangle for years...
The odor is different. Not stronger, but different.
I print a lot of big runs so I have a vent system on my printer. If I had a smaller machine I wouldn't vent the stuff. The smell is minor.
I also vented OEM. No need to smell the inks if you don't have to.
It's BY FAR the best...
I have a roland 745ex. When it works it works great.
I do a lot of work with it so I probably should have went with a AJ instead of on SJ. That being said. I love my Roland.
I also have a gx500 cutter. Love that too.
