  1. Anyone having this problem-GS6000

I was just on the phone with shades of paper looking into this machine. I'll be sticking with Rolands.
  2. Heated Solvent to Clear Printhead

I've injected heated flush through my heads with pretty good success. I had a head that was gone and as a final attempt ran acetone through it. The tone didn't agree with the ink. Everything coagulated and the inside of the head went to gel. I ended up buying a cheap stainless jewelry...

Glad to hear you're on the mend, sir. You and your family have been and will continue to be in my thoughts.
  4. Some of my work

    great work as usual.
  5. Big Squeegee

I love mine. I mount huge jobs, laminate wraps with it. I'm never buying a laminator. I do need another person to help peel the release paper on some laminates like 210, but I can live with that. Best accessory for the money. It took a day of trashing jobs to get the technique dialed...
  6. Frustrating (Non Serious) Local Competition

I have a PITA client who is reseller. Probably does 2k a year if that. He expects me to drop everything and get his stuff out the door same day. He also expects me to beat certain pricing. This pricing is based on a week turn around. I till him for that price he gets the same...
  7. have a deadline?

love it. you are bookmarked. thank you.
  8. Solaris Vs. Triangle MLD

I used to use MLD in my Roland. I would burn through a couple heads a year and then it basically caused some serious problems and I was down for six weeks. I love how Triangle said it wasn't the ink, etc. Now they've finally introduced a Eco style ink. What does that say about MLD...
  9. print on matte laminate with gloss?

good question. If you print gloss and laminate gloss and put it next to a matte laminated gloss. The GG will be glossier than MG. (richer color) I think you should be fine though. We do this often. No will notice but you.
  10. Heat press

I have this exact heat press. I've made hundreds of shirts with it. Never a problem.
  11. Large Format Printers - New vs Used?

I bought a 745ex new. I'm starting to consider adding on another machine. I'd like a 54 or 63. I want to buy used for the huge savings and because I know the sj series in and out. I can change all the boards, replace fuses, heads, etc. So for me the cost savings is huge. I don't want...

    banner tape.
  13. ink

Solaris is just as good as OEM.
  14. Roland Flatbed coming

I love all my roland equipment. I'll be buying this if the price is right. The thing will run from VW just like everything else. I love the all inclusive-ness of Roland products.
  15. How long should printer parts be available?

I've got two more payments on my roland. It was a four year loan. I'm hoping to get more than another year out of it. DOH.
  16. HP5500 Ink

Letjet is full of *%#&, Dupont isn't making their inks. Gimme' a break. I'm sure the ink is fine, but don't believe 'em for second. They called me a couple weeks ago to attempt to get my business back. I gave them an earful.
  17. What an adrenaline rush!!!

    thanks for sharing.
  18. Getting Hosed

If you google it, you will fine some material. I read a post a few years ago that people where using gasonline fuel line for the internal pump hose. I'm not familiar with mutoh, but try taking your hose to a small engine shop and see if fuel line will work.
  19. Replacement Ink for Roland SP-540 VersaCamm

Sorry. Welcome to the group. It's a pleasure to have another member. For the past few years I've been answering posts on this topic. I'm burned out on the aftermarket ink discussions. I use Solaris from Fellers. Best stuff I've used. It's compatible with Eco-Sol Max.
