You seem to turn away a lot of work. Why would the trees bother you? Just charge for how long it takes. Looks like 4 or 5 hours to me for the whole thing.

There's probably a climbing club near you where you could learn. It's not very difficult.

Any of you guys use two coats of size before you gild? I always have. I find it gives me a better surface. The first coat seals up the paint and glues down any micro dust. I let the first coat dry completely before putting on the second coat.

I figured it would keep my hands up off the work when i finish a tapered cut... like a V cut that starts and ends with a sharp point. I may modify it with a shorter fatter handle so i can get closer to the blade and still get the butt in my palm. I'll use it as is for a while.
