Bent!!?? Heathen! :Big Laugh (The lettering was done with my trusty sandblaster and cheap-ass Desay plotter.)
  2. Just got my first real carving chisel! (woot)

    Isn't she beautiful?
  3. Rolco quick dry gilding size...any good?

Thanks you guys. I'll give Rolco a go. Here is my old can of One Shot. I use a screw in the bottom to get the size out. I've never had the lid off. If you open the can to use it you'll see a thick skin on the surface of the size when go to use it next time. Squeezing it out of the screw...
  4. Just got my first real carving chisel! (woot)

I've been carving since I was 9 years old and the tools I have are all cobbled or handmade. I've never purchased a real honest to gosh carving chisel. I figured after all this time I deserved a little treat so I ordered a chisel from The Best Things. It's a beaut... an Ashley Illes 3/4" swept 90...

  7. Generators

Get one with 220. It's easy to hook to your house or shop power panel with 220. The panel will divide it up into 110 for small appliances. You can switch off breakers to stuff you don't want to run... like the water heater if it's electric. Also be very careful running a furnace with a...

  10. Before and After Smack Down...

Missy is probably a horse or dog... or a missing cat.
  11. Wacom's Inkling

I just tried my tablet through 11 sheets of paper AND a mouse pad. Works great. I suspect any tablet would work the same way. Now if I could only get a pencil to work on it. I can see this new device being great for people on the go... it looks much more portable than a regular tablet.
  12. Temporary cut out letters.

I have hundreds of hours on a bandsaw. (maybe thousands) The bandsaw would take way too long because you would have to keep cutting and welding the blade back together for the insides of letters like O's and A's. A scroll saw would be better as it has a removable blade system for just this...
  13. Wacom's Inkling

Now that I think about it... I have a cheap-a$$ monoprice tablet that will work through a mouse pad. A sheet of paper is no challenge for it at all. If they put ink in the digitizing pen it would be the same as this thing for 35 bucks.
  14. Wacom's Inkling

Your scanner makes vector drawings from your scans! What kind is it? I want one! Does it take special software to do this? The pen/paper thing looks like a great idea too. I'd love to try one out.
  15. Temporary cut out letters.

72 letters in 2 hours would be 1.72 minutes per letter. I see it taking closer to 6 or 7 minutes per letter. More like 7 or 8 hours for the job.
  16. Logo we just finalized

That looks familiar Wayne... How about this one minute wonder?
  17. Thoughts?

Read my signature. Paypal was probably closed. Closed... Yeah... that's the ticket....
  18. Logo we just finalized

Burned up a whole minute on this one. (yet another One Minute Logo)
  19. Thoughts?

That is one sweet logo. I think the kerning is the best part.
  20. Truck Lettering

Is the truck really painted that hideous blue?
