Some great footage from this years Volvo Ocean Race.
It Started in October lasr year and will continue through this July.
A 40,000 mile race around the world by 6 70' boats.
3 of which have already lost their masts and 1 has sustained serious hull damage, though they are still all in the race...
I just stuck a peice of 651 Pastel Orange on a magnet back (which is black) to check for you.
The orange darkened just a little bit compared to the piece I'm holding beside it sitll on the paper backing, but I think it would pass just fine.
I'm removing old decals off of a friends splash guards for his boat transem (they are made of Plexi-Glass I think)
Well I just whitened a small spot using wax and grease remover on the glue residue and I am wondering if anyone has advice on what to use.
I can really use a plastic scraper becasue...
I don't buy lottery tickets, but it baffles me when people only buy tickets and wait in line when the lottery is some obscene amount of money. Like it's not worth a dollar and a walk to the store for a measly two million dollars.
No, you are understanding just fine.
I see what you mean. I was under the impression that the vinyl itself is gas permiable. But those little channels are to help air escape out the edge as the vinyl is being squeegeed on to the surface.
I Think I get it now.
I'm ordering Some Oracal 3951RA tomorrow for my first attempt at a partial wrap (on my company vehicle)
My question is:
Wouldn't laminating a rapid air release type media make it so it would no longer be rapid air release since the laminate would seal it?
Or is the Oracal 290 recommended...
That would be very frustrating.
It's easy for someone to beat your price when you did the artwork for them already.
I would be interested to see what wording you people use on your disclaimer of the work being your property.
I'd like to steal it, so this doesn't happen tp me.
What about...
Regarding Dibond. We are talking about the aluminum signboard with a solid plastic finish right?
How many passes does it take to cut it?
We may have a winner
Nevermind- $3,200.00
LOVE the razor one!
For sheer cleverness of a real ad- this is one of the best

Looking at your picture brings up a question.
When you near the end of the cut, do you have to remove the clamp and place it behind the saw to finish?
It looks like it would be in the way.
I've read and seen reviews that say the track stays put without clamps, but I'm sure on Dibond or acrylic...
The ripsizer is interesting. I've never seen that before.
I would guess, though, that it adds another dimension to cutting, as you would need to pull the against the straight edge as you were cutting so it wouldn't wander, no?
It looks like the Festool may be the better choice more than DeWalt just becasue of the blade choice. I see that DeWalt is a 6.5" and Festool is 6.25", so of coarse they will not work with each other.
Unless Freud or someone else makes a composite/aluminum blade that fits Dewalt.
I'll have to...
FMG- I looked at the Festool, but it looks like DeWalt has a similar model now (maybe not as good, but for cutting just straight (no bevels) it probably will work fine.
Artbot- What type of blade do you use for Diabond- your $135 one? if so, can you show me a link to this thing?
Thanks!
Looking for feedback on a tracksaw for cutting diabond.
Been using a circular saw for 4' cuts, but I've been using a friend's hydraulic sheer for 8' lengths. I'd like to be able to be more self sufficient and this seems like the most versatile tool for the job.
Feedback on blade chioce that...
The awesome two seater.
I love those.
There are a few Yanks who come up and race with us, and one of them brings a Corrado.
It's a fast machine, but I can actually keep up with it with my 4 cyl.
I have the weght down to about 1,900 lbs with a roll cage in it. I can lift the back of the car off...
