Not sure if its the best, but years before I had my own printer all my color products were done on a Matan Sprinter. I was very happy with the quality of the prints.
This one is specifically for traffic signs: http://matanprinters.com/applications/traffic-applications/
Somewhere on this forum...
I have a couple copies of backups through Time Machine on my Mac. Recently I made a bootable drive with Carbon Copy Cloner. At some point I may consider adding a cloud backup as well. While this is for a Mac you can do the same thing with a PC.
I wonder if being rolled(even loosely) combined with high ink load could have caused the banner to have a chemical reaction? As VOC's out gassed they hit the other surfaces before exiting the roll.
Our method for drying: Set up "clothes lines" with paracord to hang banners/prints.
Not a fly, it was the ink engineer. Now you'll have to get a new one.:Big Laugh:Big Laugh:Big Laugh
Happy to hear you got it going. Never would have suspected a real bug.
Probably need a new encoder strip. My Roland was doing the same thing. I put in a new encoder strip, did the calibrations and the problem was solved.
I think the strip was less than $30US delivered. If you can wait Alibaba has them for $10 or so, but it takes a couple weeks from China.
3rd party inks... I agree with JHill. Check for blockage in ALL lines. Your lines to and from the pump are probably clogged. That alone causes all kinds of issues. Lines are probably hardened to the point of being brittle too. I know this from experience.
Could be a crack where the damper attaches to the head.
Try printing Unidirectional and see what happens. If it prints well you have a restriction somewhere. Check for a kinked or collapsed line too.
That will NEVER run a latex 360. Rated output is 1000watts @ 230V HP360 printer uses 4600watts while printing. You will spend north of $3000 to get that kind of power, and it will only last for a few minutes. You won't be finishing any jobs.
What works well for some is not a printers panacea. Fact is I run both and don't care for some of HP's "better" ideas.
As far as power consumption $25 more per month is suspect. If you print the exact same hours per day with the HP 360 as opposed to the Roland XR640 you will use 3.4 times...
Buy whatever brand has tech support minutes from your shop. All stuff breaks, and usually in the middle of a big job.
My two cents:
One issue I have with latex is the loading. They're great if you plan on running full rolls at a time. Otherwise not so much. There are days when I print...
Get an intern from a local tech college. They need the hours to complete their degree, you need the help.
Your welcome. I'll let you know where you can send the check.:Big Laugh
Bubble wrap over the wrap then shrink wrap over the bubble wrap. Cardboard is abrasive and will scratch without a barrier. You can put the cardboard over the top of the bubble/shrink for added dent protection.(we had some mega thick stuff)
I used to prep/ship equipment that had to arrive...
Cheap banner(s), pole pocket the top with hem tape, hang inside. Minimal install time, no panel registration issues, take down in seconds, no glue to clean etc...
