  1. Head Problems. Need suggestions.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago on my SP-540v, I had changed cap tops last October, after my post on Signs101, it was suggested that I change the cap tops so I did and now my nozzles are firing at 100% now. I was very surprised to learn that the cap tops only last about 6-9 months...

  6. Why are my heads drying up so fast?

I experienced the same problem, I usually can let my printer be idle for a week or so and the head stays good. Two weeks ago, it was idle for a week and I lost 95% of the nozzles. I spent a lot of time soaking and cleaning the heads to get them back, then I installed n cap tops and the printer...
  7. What's the deal on cap tops?

Ok, what's the deal on cap tops? I replaced my cap tops last October and then a little over a week ago went out of town for a week and when I returned, and did a test print, my print heads were clogged pretty good, only about 5% of the nozzles were firing. After a few head soakings and many...

Good news, glad to hear everything worked out for you. I have a Roland SP-540 printer, and when the time comes I plan on replacing my own heads also. What model printer do you have and where did you get your heads (costs)? How was the experience (first time)? More details..... Great Job...
  9. Wrapping trailer with seams.

On trailers with overlapping panels as mentioned by the OP, I ALWAYS make my panels match the panels on the trailer, so there are only the natural seams of the aluminum panels. And my customer's notice the difference, even saying the finished job looks as if the panels were printed before the...

Wouldn't a color change to red be easier to use paint? Then the roof gets painted at the same time, and the screws, everything is the same color!

  18. 1/25 to full size

My vehicle templates are 1:20 scale, so I just multiply by 2000% to get the full size. You are saying yours are 1/25 scale, so that sounds like it's one / twenty fifth scale, so multiply by 25 times, should equal full size.
  19. What to do?

I have a Roland SP-540V and will be going out of town for a week, what is the best way to leave the printer so the heads don't get clogged? Would it be good or bad to leave a few drops of cleaning solution in the cap tops for the week, or will that damage the heads? Any suggestions would be...
