Sturdier than what?
It has nothing to do with saving on material costs. 10oz is a damn sight easier to wrangle, it hems flatter, and it rolls up tighter. It is every bit as durable as heavier weights. Unless you're going to gift wrap a rhinoceros.
It looks like something from Microsoft word or publisher.
Moreover, any use of copperplate in a logo or a sign should be punishable by death. Copperplate is intended to simulate steel engraving at small point sizes. Those square serifs are supposed to represent chisel finials. It should...
I've always used whatever 10oz banner material I happen to be using at the time. It doesn't curl any more that the stuff that's labeled 'non-curl', which curls a bit.
I see some responses where media heavier than 10oz was used. Why? The only difference between 10oz and 13oz or 15oz is that...
You're correct. I've been using it so long I forget about that rather limited tool.
The actual 'reduce points' tool will work only on points that essentially on the same curve or line. It will not reduce points across a cusp, an ess curve, or a collection of straight lines and curves. If you...
OK, it's a bit different but once you get used to it, like most things, it works fine.
What you do is select the node reduction tool, it looks like a set of demented goalposts.
Then select an existing node and drag it to another location on the vector. As you drag it you see the curve...
Any grommet press does exactly the same thing in exactly the same way as any other grommet press. While some of the machines from the Pacific rim have poorly machined dies and are generally garbage, any name brand grommet press is pretty much the same as any other name brand press. Buy whatever...
Any image pre 1921 that has not specifically had a copyright renewed post 1921 is in the public domain. You can copy any of the old masters any size you want including the size of the original with impunity.
Certainly for the whiskey. There's many villages where it's not legal to sell liquor by the drink but in these villages there's 'bars' where you can bring your own bottle and they sell you 'set-ups'. That being glasses, ice, and mixer.
I fail to see any problem, real or philosophical, in...
I saved the image, imported it into Corel Draw, changed the mode to black and white line art, and used Corel's trace. Took maybe 20 seconds and the results are as close to identical with the original as any normal human could hope for.
I'm sure you rose up and smote the miscreant hip and thigh. But, other than a mildly entertaining story, just how is this anyone's problem but your own? Why should anyone but yourself and your agents involve themselves?
My previous comments were addressed to the demonstrated vigilantism, not the ethics of the event that fomented it. That is another matter altogether.
Nonetheless, we're not talking about some stealing my stuff and doing whatever with it. We're talking about someone selling something...
Why? Other than the perverse satisfaction some seem to garner by denouncing others to the authorities, why would you possibly care what someone sells for whatever price? Understand that I feel as strongly about self-appointed vigilantes as you seem to feel about the nefarious dealings of others.
The classic ballpark knee jerk price for manufactured goods is five times the actual cost. It also works pretty well with signs. It's not a law of nature but most projects come surprisingly close the 5x number.
Exempt for this rule of thumb are the pain in the ass things small and large for...
Nah...not better. Different and equally bad.
The silhouette figures are just floating there looking exactly like the clip art they are. Perhaps you might have them interacting somehow. The karate guy could be ripping the heart out of a tap dancer who's trying to fend him off with a banjo...
How do keep a straight face when, by your numbers, you'd get $90 for a 9 ft^2 banner but $70 for a 10 ft^2 copy?
A discount for size or quantity should never be equal to or greater than the cost of a single unit. In this case a unit is a square foot. For example, I was once in a donut shop...
The round part isn't half bad other than the bilious colors and the dubious type face. You might want to make the music notes larger and perhaps simpler, right now it looks like a bird crapped on it.
The tag line at top is awful. In typeface doesn't work and it doesn't seem to be an integral...
You might want to heed your own counsel and double your price. In this shop that banner would be $100.00.
Unlike others I have absolutely no reluctance to quote prices. Anywhere, any time, to anyone. I tend to think that someone who displays a reluctance to do so probably has something to hide...
