  3. Rant What is going on with FedEx?

Even Amazon is quoting "delivery windows" in my area. Usually 5 to 7 days apart.
  4. Corner cutter recommendation

I've had my accucutter for 12 years. Never had a problem with it. I was surprised how many customers comment on nice rounder corners. Well worth the money. http://www.accucutter.com/
  5. Installing signs without a permit

I applied for permits to a 40' windows, 24' sign on the front of the building, another 24 sign on the side of the building and a 12' x 3' double faced sign on existing lighted ladder frame. DENIED BY THE TOWN. Told the customer only the ladder signs. They called another sign contractor who...
  6. Moze are these any good?

I have been using these for three years. Never had a problem with them. If I want to stop them a simple touch of the left side and I can hear anyone speaking as they don't block the ear. If the cell phone rings again a simple touch and your on the phone. AfterShokz: Bone Conduction...

I've always had great results with Bill at WYLD.
  8. Bare minimum to charge / ask during pandemic? Lowest price you would comfortably go down to??

You can't think short term. Overhead is overhead. Cost of doing business is cost of doing business. I might give an existing customer a "Covid 19" discount to help "our" business's on a job by job basis. This is a time when the tire kickers and low lifers come out to save them a few dollars...
  9. It's always good to speak up

I've driven past that museum many times and didn't realize exactly what it was. The new sign should help open the publics mind . Now I can't wait to head in that direction and see it from the inside. Great way to show off your skills and help the museum grow with great signage.
  10. Anyone looking at their business differently now?

This shut down has proven to me that my business (small as it is) doesn't need the rented space. My phone still rings regularly, my customers still need signs and truck lettering, and walk ins are mostly waste time. I'm in the process of moving everything to my home shop. I'm still...
  11. Question 4" x 4" Post Sleeves

I gave up being cheap and started using 4x4 Aluminum posts over 4x4 PT posts. Removable, durable and sturdy. Cost more for first installation but always look professional. Tired of "cheap" customers selling expensive real estate trying to save pennies and complaining what their sigs look like...
  12. A pound of caulk on lighted cabinet?

But the caulking companies love them.
  13. Bravo Gemini... Only took you forever

Gemini's new patterns are more precise with the new system. One of the best companies I do business with. Keep up the good work Gemini.
  14. I made a mistake - don't want to do it again - help

I don't hang anything with multiply chain links as it adds to "swing". Top loop, bar with two holes, and bottom loop. All connections closed.
  15. How would you handle this situation?

I'd rather race to the TOP with quality and service that win the race to the BOTTOM of the price war.
  16. Making A Come Back...

    Welcome back
  17. Discussion Thought I'd try something a little easier.......................

I think our (60Plus) would return to getting things done the "old" way. The younger generation Under 35 would scream Mommy, they can't do this to us".
  18. I'm a blessed man today...

Thank God he reached out for help. My prayers go out to you & him.
