I like the GMI for colorful wall graphics like fathead style. The phototex just looks too washed out for that use, however it is great for many other uses & I love how it never lifts or curls.

sounds like a raster artwork problem I assume (not vector). Possibly the original artwork is low res. Printing low res artwork at a high resolution still generates bad artwork. Does it do the same thing with vector artwork?

Tell the whole software process you're using if you can. I assume you're creating these gradients in Illustrator, but then how are you saving/exporting, etc from there? I use Illustrator everyday just about with gradients transparency, etc with no issues printing unless flexi gets involved...

no, not always signs; started in 99 website design, quit in 03 for pritn design, quit in 98 for signs. Possibly I have too much technical work interfering with creative work? I do a lot of "plan" type artwork.

Maybe I have to spell everythign out for everybody, I asked the customer about that & they wanted it all "the same imporance", after an answer like that I guess I should have just spent 10 minutes on an ugly sign instead of posting here.

But how do you convince the customer of this without wasting time on a low buck job in the end?
