  1. pdf logo find

What I find funny is when you call the actual marketing department at the (large) company, and request them to email you an EPS, and you hear silence on the line, then an "ok". Then an hour later you get a jpeg saved as an EPS via email.... wtf? Sometimes it's just quicker to go straight to...
  2. roland sp300 service call 107

dont have that model, but I assume that error means your encoder is dirty. re-clean, re-calibrate & re-test through the service menu. dont use full strength alcohol (and never use roland cleaning stuff!), cant remember the percentage, but its on this site soemwhere. if still dirty, remove the...
  3. Banding only on left side of ProIII XC540

could it be an air pressure/pump issue?
  4. Banding only on left side of ProIII XC540

The encoder strip would give errors and bad printign all over & eventually disconnect errors; not just banding, sounds like ink starvation to me also, but never encountered it personally.
  5. Wall Vinyl

We use our sp540v for everything, we do the small white border on them, never even tried cutting on edge of print, but I can't fathom a problem with it? Indoor applications with GMI, outdoor would require a permanent adhesive... although phototex works fine outdoors in our experience.
  6. New Transit Connect just finished

looks nice but the website is really hard to find; especially for a computer company. Did you just cut the oval out for the handle recesses?
  7. Moving Lights?

A customer is requesting we come up with a solution to add moving/flashing lights to their sign to draw attention to it. We don't provide this in-house, does anyone have a solution or idea or interested in being involved in the project? Their current sign is attached below.
  8. PDF from Photoshop

Illustrator would be a better choice for brochure layout if you don't have indesign, but it is also hard to manage text in... Good luck, thankfully the adobe products are all very similar - but PS STILL does not have a glyphs pallette!!! :banghead:
  9. My new website built around wordpress

So, can I ask how you are getting all the offroad business? Just cold calling or are you in the right area? Website looks great btw in my opinion.
  10. Talking Bout the CarWash.... HAHA It's Stuck In My Head

the first logo is almost identical to someone else's logo I have seen before but the name escapes me... an auto lube chain maybe??? Might be the logo below, but not sure... was thinking there was something even closer.
  11. A starting place...

How do you order shirts there??? can't figure it out.
  12. How is this effect done in Photoshop ?

a quick glance at the tutorial tells me that you're doing something different at the start, I would say to paint/type some random stuff along a semi-horizontal line in the center of your image, & then possibly "dissolve" or erase some of it (to get the random high & low lines), then do the wind...
  13. Color Differences?

    anyone?
  14. PDF from Photoshop

X2 on beermonsters post of not doing a brochure in photoshop. photoshop is for images, not layouts. indesign, etc can do everything you need after you design the artwork in photoshop.
  15. Looking For Stock Photo Of...

X2 on the manufacturers, also, are you putting a manufacturer logo on the truck? A few of my clients have had large portions of their wrap bills paid by the manufacturers with putting the product name (and usign their provided high-res imagery) on the wrap. samples attached below; background...
  16. Need a vinyl that will withstand 150 degrees

while vinyl may survive the temp, I would think that repeated heating & cooling will melt the adhesive off the back of it. I have seen newer cars with the airbag/rollover warning labels on the visors have the adhesive melt off of them after hot days & ruin the interior.
  17. Need a vinyl that will withstand 150 degrees

what about reverse cutting/weeding it, then using it as a stencil to paint the info onto the container?
  18. Wall Vinyl

GMI brand works best in our experience. Phototex never curls but looks like poop as far a bright vibrant image is concerned.
  19. Police Car Shield Emblems

yes, the mega collection has the stuff for everything but the state seal, which should be easy enough to obtain.
  20. Contour cutting Phototex

in versaworks I use 5cm/s @ 200gsm for a contour cut, works well but still need to be careful when weeding to make sure no strings start pulling.
