trust me, I told him to find out first if he was allowed to use me and secondly, dont think for a minute that I did not make hime help me line it up to set it down correctly. I did however take resposibility for squeegeing it as to tell you the truth, I had worked a 14 hour day and did not want...
I have no idea where to post this. It is somewhat sign related but it is more about my sons college course he is taking.
He is taking a digital media arts program at a community college and gets some assignment wherby each student has to buy a skateboard body (no wheels) and design a graphic...
I have noticed this too. Sometimes it cuts perfectly and other times it is really horrible, although before this started it cut them all very well so I think it is the cable
well my plotter still is giving me the odd trouble although I have slowed the speed down to 15 and seems much better.
I think I may have found a possible issue although I am not sure if it could be causing the problem. I run the plotter from across the room using a serial cable. The cable...
the truth is that are are an infinite number of completely stupid people out there and you run into at least 6 per day...maybe more if you consider driving in the equation!!!

say what you want but lets face it......if something is coming off your printer blurry, then you have a problem. Fix it, toss the garbage and reprint it... naturally.
When I think how picky I get on my own prints, and how many times I have killed a print , dumped it and start again... I guess...
I know they have the capability to do the job correctly. If I saw this type of print coming out of my printer the emergency stop function goes into action and I correct the problem for this exact reason..... sub standard work.
I guess I just should have told the customer they would have to...
The point is I asked for them to be printed in a higher resolution and was willing to pay more if need be. It is npt a company that does billboards specifically and also does die sub. I am disapointed naturally, but not at myself as I did everything I felt was necessary to make them...
OK, I get in a pinch and this customer wants 100 mini banners 22" x 28" for his customers to be hung in windows. I wanted to print them myself, but the time was short and I am to busy, so I send it out to a company with a 10' printer and a low price.
I told them that I wanted a good resolution...
I ran the test print function which has nothing to do with the software that runs the machine and nothing appeared. Seems like the printer wanted to print but whatever controls ink flow had shut down I guess. Turning it off and then back on brought everything back to normal.
Today was pretty busy and I stayed late to get some printing done for a rush job due tomorrow. I set up this small job and sent it out. I heard the printer start up and sat at the computer setting up the next job. The printer finished printing and sat idle and I ran downstairs did some...
I do not think I have experienced this before. I had a file saved by a designer here as a 150 dpi tif at full size which was 22 x 28 inches. He brought it to me on a thumb drive and I dropped it onto my desktop. In Flexi I generally have the setting for bringing in files set to all readable and...
Customer wants to know the shelf life of pre cut and masked vinyl. Generally I would think a year is safe, but lately I have been noticing with premask that it can get pretty gummy when I use it to hold rolls shut and it has been there for some time. Should I have any concerns about this and...
how long can I run a usb - usb2 cable? I am using the cable at work to run a plotter but the current cable is 4 feet and making it tight. Is there data loss if the cable gets to long?
so is it safe to say that I can run usb to usb2 and have this beast cutting vinyl? Until I get the graphtec fixed I need an alternate.
also I wonder is there info lost depending on the length of that cable? I would love to run it about 25' but I doubt I will find one that long.
Hey guys, need some info here.
I have a summa d-140 that is used in conjunction with our Mimaki printer and thats all its functions are for us. In other words it sits idle 80% or more of the time. It's a reaaly good cutter and have had no real issues with it.
I also have a graphtec that has...
