  1. Layzply.com - a new way to lay vinyl

I think posting a device that would be of benefit to newbies would be well placed in the newbie forum. It's a cunning marketing strategy to dangle the bait in front of the quarry.... perhaps you would shift a few big squeegees if you employed the same approch.
  2. The best 100 ways to tell a customer you're not interested

Now if we could just get you to fix "Sturat McLean" life would be sweet.

  4. The best 100 ways to tell a customer you're not interested

I've let this slide in the past when you've posted this but that is clearly two pancakes on a bunny's head!
  5. Layzply.com - a new way to lay vinyl

Geez! What an unfriendly reception! The guy took out a merchant membership and displayed his wares. Isn't that how it's supposed to be done? I see plenty of non-paying members (too cheap to cough up 50 bucks to support this place) are quick to condemn his sincere effort to market his product...
  6. Recommendations on a pen tablet

You may have to enable it. there's a little icon in the "hidden icons" area bottom right in windows 7 called "flicks". I think my pen battery is getting weak... it doesn't work well through the mouse pad this morning.
  7. Recommendations on a pen tablet

Reduce the sensing area before your arm gives out. I cut mine back until it seemed like the same speed as my mouse... if that makes any sense.

So what reads those codes anyway? Smartphone?
  9. Gypsy Graphics...

It's got something to do with the QR code in wrap's avatar. I don't have anything to read the code with so that's the best I can tell you. Is it a link to the funny cheap wrap website?
  10. Sign Brackets

I make my own but I have the local welding shop cut out the parts for me. Saves me stocking a bunch of metal.
  11. Recommendations on a pen tablet

Been messin with the tablet. It seems to work very well. I just discovered "flicking". You flick the pen and the screen scrolls in the direction of the flick. If you flick and tap, the scroll stops where you tap. Very nice! I didn't like the scrolling by using the pen button.. it was too fast to...

    Where's this post anyway?
  13. Logo critique

Their original looks more like something you'd see on a bottle of maple syrup to me. Try refining that one... maybe play up the look of a wood cut. I think the one you're working on is a bit too cartoony. (this is very primitive.. just a suggestion)
  14. for all you science geeks out there..

    And we're off!!!
  15. Using a Vinyl Express Plotter w/ Corel Draw

Don't let the plotter snobs get you down. I have work in Signcraft magazine that was made with the help of my Desay Master plotter. BTW I use Flexi starter (sells for 99 bucks) to use as my bridge software. I copy what I want in Corel and paste into Flexi. Works every time. Reason I asked is...
  16. Using a Vinyl Express Plotter w/ Corel Draw

You go Scott! I'd like to know about cutting directly from Corel X4 to my Desay Master plotter. (I don't have a Roland like OP) Can it be done? I looked at printing from Corel but the plotter is not listed in the printer dialogue.

Download the trial version of Xara Design Pro 6.
  18. Making a bed frame for myself.

Nice looking bed.... unfortunate choice of words for this post though.
  19. Dang! Canon Rebel XT is not compatble with Windows@#$%7

I got this sorted out. Windows will store the files where I want and in the style to which I am accustomed. It just took some research and fiddling.
