Static cling is notoriously rough to work with but that is really bad. I would think it has to be either not compatible with the ink you are using, defective or as stated above, really old.
You shouldn't have to worry about this. I have customers running all sorts of old software including Flexi 8.5 on windows 10. I would bet it even works without having to run it in compatibility mode but that is still an option. WildWest has some good advice on running old software on new...
Ok that should be fine. I would suspect that maybe there is a default scaling setting that got turned up to 200% in the Y axis. Check out the layout settings and see if that is the case. I don't use Wasatch a lot but most RIPs have this scaling option and if it accidentally was set to 200% as a...
I only heard it through my Mimaki sales rep in passing and he made it sound like they were at least a year out. I figure they are trying to see how well the UCJV does before committing.
Does this issue happen in multiple areas or just 1 per job? It's a weird one for sure. I would suspect a motor/drive issue. Perhaps the speed reduction belt that connects the motor to the drive belt has missing or damaged teeth. I would take a good look at the motor area and see if anything...
Max speed on a TruVis is 375sqft per hour and the DX7 head is 600sqft per hour. Those are objective facts. I was wrong about which Ricoh head it was and accepted that when I was corrected because I am a professional. I know you are mad at me for calling you out about not paying for your merchant...
Yeah. They are coming out with more models later on and I forgot they aren't out yet. Eventually they will have a printer only option. The UCJV just means it has a cutter on it. The UCJV150 is cheaper but it doesn't do white so that is out. The UCJV300 is what we are running in our shop as a...
It's weird because Mimaki uses the same heads on their UV machines and they have a max of 1200 x 1200. I am thinking that maybe the head Roland uses is a level down from the one Mimaki uses. They are both Ricoh heads but maybe different versions.
Nothing in the tech manual either which means Mimaki just expects you to replace it when it goes bad. The part itself is $57 and I can get it for you if needed. Otherwise I would use synthetic grease but I think the pulley might be sealed which will prevent you from getting the grease where it...
Ha ha. I got carried away on the wrong subject. Yes those two machines use the same heads except the VG series uses 4 and the SG uses 2 so the main difference is speed.
I usually don't recommend changing ink lines because it's almost never the cause of the issue. Older machines have more of a possibility to have the lines break and cause issues but even then it is rare. Usually air gets in at the connections. The most common place for air to get in is the...
It should work as you expect. I am willing to bet the sensor sensitivity was never adjusted and that may be why it's having a hard time picking them up. Take a look at the user manual and look up the section where it tells you how to calibrate the sensor.
Good ol' disposable printers. Meanwhile I still get calls for tech support on Mimaki JV3s, Roland SP series printers, and Mutoh ValueJet 1604, 1614, 1304s which can be as old as 20 years.
You might have a clog in the coolant line, the pump isn't working and/or the mix of coolant to water is not correct. If you used tap water to fill it that can cause clogs. You should be using distilled or purified water with a 2 to 1 mix of water and coolant.
No they use different heads. The VS series uses a single Epson DX7 print head. The SG series uses 4 Ricoh Gen 5 print heads. It's a really weird move on Rolands part to go backwards in speed and quality like that. The Ricoh heads work great in UV machines and work much better than the Epson...
