I do not believe thermal resin prints require any outgassing time before overlaminating. I've laminated a lot of Roland thermal resin prints over the years using clear vinyls Mactac and Arlon both cast and calendered as well as Oracal's lam films 290 & 210 and never encountered any adhesion...

I would first try replacing the CMOS battery, only a couple bucks and they do go out occasionally.

Roland dampers ... $45.45 each ... (four dampers = $181.80) Aftermarket dampers ... $3.50 each ... (four dampers = $14.00) I don't know about anyone else but I only feel confident using Genuine Roland replacement parts. For me it's just not worth taking a chance, what about the rest of you?

I just installed a DX4 printhead from SolventInkjet.com ($795) on my Roland SP-300V, printer works like new again. I just noticed your also in Sacramento, if your interested I know an ex Roland tech that works for a very reasonable fee.

I would replace captops, dampers, o-rings, wipers & scraper and if that didn't resolve the issue I'd replace the printhead. I just replaced mine and it resolved all my black / cyan issues. SolventInkjet.com has the printhead for $795. The other parts I get from a Roland dealer, Midwest Sign...

I get a chuckle from the VistaPrint 9" x 12" mags. Can't read anything from more than 6 feet away and they fade out badly in a short period of time but hey their only $10.19 each, now that's a serious business advertising investment.

There should be a Gerber Edge Spot Color Swatch Table in Flexi's Library to design from, at least that's the way it is for my Roland thermal resin printer in Flexi.

I asked about the 220's due to a lower ink demand than most. If I have to double up on 2 colors I'd might as well buy the 440's. At 6 cart minimum I'll have to pass, you would have had me at a 4 cart minimum.

I simply use a blue Stabillo for marking and if necessary use 1/4" or 1/2" masking for guideline.
