  1. Need help on new logo idea

Your attempt speaks to a VERY narrow market. I wouldn't go that route at all.
  2. Help on a layout

You still aren't making a logo. Just putting a picture of hurricane shutters in there doesn't make it a logo. Have you used any kind of design questionnaire with thsi client to even get a feel for where they want to go, what they want to stay away from, etc.? if not, you need to. if you don't...
  3. Logo Design Help

What I said earlier appears to have gone unnoticed. Cows are steers are slaughtered by an air piston driven rod that is placed, you guessed it, in the middle of their forehead. It drives a 1" round steel rod into their brain. i don't think you want that imagery :)
  4. Logo Design Help

    Great idea there!!!
  5. Logo Design Help

Anyone who grew up on or around a cattle farm, and is knowledgeable about how cattle are slaughtered knows why you shouldn't stick a keyhole on the steer's forehead....
  6. Logo Design Help

I like the bottom on in Phillip's set as well! I still think that SOMETHING in the logo needs to address the target market of golfers.
  7. Logo Design Help

One thing to keep in mind is that if this product is like "The Club", then it is a horizontally oriented object. The logo needs to also be horizontally oriented in order to maximize viewing on the object...

Brian, The font is FarCry Extended.
  9. Logo Design Help

I think that you need to have a conversation with your client about who is target market is. Golf carts are, for the most part, used by golfers. Take a look around at the types of branding you see being used in that market. None of it (at least that I am aware of - and I'm an avid golfer)...
  10. Thoughts on this layout?

I really like where everyone is going, especialy with the font choices. Here's another thought though, that you may want to play with in the design. The name is "FoodSmiths", right? I'm assuming that this is a play off the idea of a blacksmith. Except instead of forging iron, he is forging...
  11. How honest are you?

This is a perfect example of the old platitude - "It's not what you say, it's how you say it."
  12. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

Just to clarify, I do the maintenence that is suggested on the stickers religiously. What I had to do to fix the problem was actually REMOVE tha large grey "cap" on the left end of the printer. It's about 12"x12"x8". It has the MUTOH logo on it. In order to do so i had to remove the roll feed...
  13. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

OK...After doing all the things mentioned here, and getting the same problem, I took the left cap off the printer (The one that has the Mutoh logo on it), took the print head ALL the way to the extreme left, and got in there with a flashlight. it was a mess. Gunked ink all over the back of the...
  14. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

So far i've tried Tri-Solv 12 mil poster paper, Oracal 3651, Brightline Duration, CV-3, and some 10mil rolled PVC. The problem is in the same area of the print path, regardless. Poster paper is what the supplied image was printed on. What's an edge guard?
  15. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

The reprints are having the exact same issue REGARDLESS of media type. I've tried this with poster paper, Oracal 3651, CV-3, and rolled 10mil PVC. Same issue, same place on the print path. And yes, head is in high position. Any other ideas?
  16. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

Just in that one spot? If so, how would I fix that? Remember, these two prints were in the same print job, SIDE BY SIDE. The one on the left is perfect. The one on the right has that issue, JUST in that one spot...
  17. Wierd problem - I'm stumped...

OK - I've got a VJ1304. This started yesterday, and I haven't been able to get it figured out. The picture below shows two images. (I've got to do a run of posters). They are the same image, and were in the same print run, side by side. If you look at the image, imagine it is coming off the...
