I had just bought a flat screen TV and used that box with foam spacers that was in it to ship an acrylic sign to CA.
I have an account with FedEx and it arrived perfect. I think the TV box helped because that is what the shippers though it was.
But I usually use 1x2 framework with masonite...
I have used Macs since the MacPlus. Looking to upgrade my MacBookPro in a month or so. Run my plotter with a separate laptop and my RIP with another. I also am a Mac fanboy!
I make a pattern, pouch it on the awning after it is installed and stretched out. Use white oil base block out for first coat using a fitch and them when dry which is pretty quick, put on top coat of color with fitch or quill if lettering is small.

I usally get the 3' post and drive that down about 2' or so with a sledgehammer and then bolt the longer posts to that with nuts, bolts and washers. They have breakaway sets you can buy also.
Maybe it did go sideways for awhile with jocularity, but from what you first posted as a logo and what it ended up with as far as jsmoritz2000 accomplished. I think you were well helped with your logo, it's the way we do business here.
