  7. Food Bank sign destroyed

repeat business on a free donation isn't always a good thing... cut the head off several 1-1/2' finishing nails, sharpen the cut end & embed a dozen double ended spikes in the glue joint... maybe you can catch the little s#!+ with one of the nails next time... ..not that this was ever the...
  8. first snowfall of the year!

14,000 ft. It's on the Big Island, not here on Maui... but I lived there for 6 years & drove up every year, snowboarding on a few occasions. It sure looked awesome from the beach on a sunny day. No chairlift, but because of the billions of dollars worth of telescopes up there, owned by...

  10. Global "Charter for Compassion" & a Letterhead project

A few letterheads answered the call to prepare a simple piece of "word art" to be shared in conjunction with the launch date of the Charter for Compassion Some nice art for a nice cause!
  11. Logo critique & insight on a logo change!

    :loveya: Avant Garde inexplicable!
  12. Copyright release questions..

first, I agree with ProWraps, what any client is led to believe at the start, has everything to do with what is appropriate at the end, second I agree with all who have noted that there is a lot of good advice on this thread. There are a number of other threads like this over the years...
  13. Logo critique & insight on a logo change!

I like the customization of the "S", but I think the top cross bar should be extended to align with the right-most part of the rest of the S. I think the arrows in your new logo are fine without being an arrow making business. I like the slant to the left. I can relate to an inexplicable love...
  14. Censorship

if there were such a thing as "a pass"... of course this would have been the time for one, BUT THERE ISN'T... and the people who have been given authority to moderate according to EXISTING policy, are NOT given authority to INVENT passes... ...and it wasn't about the comments that SMS made...
  15. Hello from Bartlett, IL - Mark Your Space

welcome from Maui... but I'm actually from quite close to you, and even closer to GZ Sign... born & raised in Hoffman Estates Il, & still visit my mom there...
  16. Censorship

cognitive dissonance   anxiety that results from simultaneously holding contradictory or otherwise incompatible attitudes, beliefs, or the like, as when one likes a person but disapproves strongly of one of his or her habits. David's comment is relevant in so many ways... I think it was...
  17. Censorship

by the way, I also agree with Arlo. The concepts of "justifying", & of "supporting" are two entirely different concepts, & do not represent any conflict in my opinion either, regardless of where anyone's justification, or support is given or withheld.
  18. Censorship

...after 8 whole posts here, you are still free to go so far out on a limb as to question the administration of this site, just as you are free to be questioned for the inaccurate insinuations in your post. What's with this high & mighty "I for one am grateful" crap? Is that some sort of...
  19. Censorship

well, I am sorry to see SMS has had his account adjusted to that of "guest" I will again speak out about my most sincere sympathy for the tremendous loss any parent would feel for a child lost in any manner, although I hope I never really know what that is like. And I wish to acknowledge again...
  20. Anyone on Facebook? Are social networks really this addictive?

if I'm not mistaken, this is the thread that got me started. If I never answered the original question though... YES, it is THIS ADDICTIVE!
