I have used Canvas and it's a very good program, especially for the price, but since I do more than signs and Adobes suite is integrated very well and print vendors prefer it, I have no need to use it. If I was tight on funds and used a Mac, I would not be ashamed to use Canvas.

If you would have waited a coule of weeks you could have CS2.3 You can still upgrade from CS2 to CS2.3 and get Acrobat 8 and Dreamweaver for just 160.00 bucks.

I try to buy a font or font family a month. I dig House Industries, Font Bureau, Letterhead Fonts and a few on Veer. I'm also a fan or Rian Hughes (Device Fonts) and Font Diner. I probably need to buy a few on Sign DNA and Sign Fonts but have not got around to getting them yet.

Not that I would do it, but I have done my share of converting old hand drawn plans into vector drawings. I used Illustrator for it and did it all by hand and imported it into AutoCad. Not fun but it's what the boss needed done....mindless work that needs to be done in between fun stuff or you...

I would say, most of the guys who teach you the business will never pay you what you are probably worth, 6 years is an eternity at your first sign job. In your first job 2 things can happen, the boss does not notice the progression of your abilities or you may have gotten bored working...

I guess the dog thought it was funny... :) Other than VMP, I doubt it. There are a few here that use VMP that might be able to convert it for you otherwise, I think you probably need to go to your customer and ask them to convert to an .eps or .ai file for you.

I'm rootin for designsbymtm, all he said was Flexi does a good job for what he needs it to do and all vector sofware is the same and you challenge him to a bad logo contest...... I think when he needs Corel or Illustrator he will buy it....so what, one of my favorite graphic designer never uses...
