I think it's definitely one of the two. I'm leaning towards the sensor only because I can calibrate my strip and when I did bi-directional test the uni-direction was fine but when I actually started a print in uni-direction it was crap.
I thought that might be it but can't remember if I did that or not, I usually do it first thing.
Now I can't even make it through a print before it gets blurred out. The encoder strip is only a few months old so I don't know any reason why it would just suddenly stop.
Could this be the sensor...
I had tried 2 different files in two separate jobs but it was multiple up so the print area was like 45" x 22.5". I tried a different file just a 4" square with the print and cut marks and it was fine. I'm kind of stumped on this one.
Please explain how this makes sense? The entire sheet prints fine until the last two "registration marks"
Done. First thing I check.
Is there someplace specific I should check? Did it on two different files and exactly the same spot right when it switches back to printing the crop/registration...
Not quite sure what going on. The start of the sheet and all the print is fine until it prints the last couple sets of marks and they had get skewed/blurred. It's done it on two different jobs. Really not sure what is causing this. I don't think it's encoder because the entire print would be...
You need to enter the service mode.
Then enter Service mode > Print and cut adj > Setting 2 > then you'll see some adjustments. Press and hold Test Cut and it'll print the three squares across the sheet and cut them and you can make the adjustments.
My machine is down and no idea when I will be able to get it back up and running yet
I need someone preferably in Maine/NH/Mass who could help me with sticker work.
Thanks
It was fine sunday and I just came in and started everything up and I can't connect to my SP-540V anymore.
InterCon-Net Tool doesn't show anything even if I rebuild, refresh...etc....I reinstalled it and nothing.
Really not sure what happened....I'm guessing maybe a windows update threw it out...
What is your blade depth? Should be no more than about half a credit card thickness. Also fold piece of scrap vinyl in half (liner inside) and make a hand cut with the blade. it should cut very easily and you should just barely cut through to the piece of vinyl folded under.
This is the most...
I ordered one time and it took almost 2 weeks to receive the items. It didn't even ship for a week.
I did try Solventparts.com and both times the items shipped same day and got them in time expected.
So I've been asked a few times about doing these. Just for small products and small runs (50-300).
Now I'm thinking 12mil is pretty substantial but not sure if it's quite thick enough. I'd be printing eco-solvent but I'm sure my SP-540V just wouldn't be able to handle the cutting. So I'm eyeing...
Yeah I've been kind of deal with the same issues. Job dependent and how much ink is laid down. If I'm not laminating it I just let it dry for a few minutes (3-5min) and haven't had any problems. With sheets I laminate I wait about a day for them gas out. I'd say 2 days is overkill.
I have not. Can you enlighten me on this...specifically which way to I flip it?
Sorry as I'm learning to service this machine because Roland doesn't support it anymore and I def. cannot afford a tech.
Ok So cutting is unaffected as long as the printing and marks are good.
I can print uni-direction, but the print and cut marks print with bi-direction and they get slurred. Anyway to get around that? haha
And who is a reputable supplier I can get this from without waiting 3 weeks like I did...
