Gah it always is the most silly things that cause the issues. I went to my roll and noticed one flange wasn't tight on the roll. it's broken and was leaning. That's probably what is causing that. Thanks!
So I'm getting this blurred area every so often on my prints. I can't seem to figure out what might be causing it. I cleaned my encoder strip and calibrated it and I'm still getting this. I think I'm going to calibrate the feed settings, not sure if thats it.
I've been doing nothing but perf cuts. Obviously the pressure settings will depend on material used. When I do them I do a contour cut on top of my perf cut just makes it a little cleaner cut. I have struggled with what perf length and cut lengths to use on certain size cuts. I definitely use a...
I'm really looking for a little more affordable material I can use with Eco Solvent. I haven't found anything yet. The website stickerapp.com prints on holographic/metallic, to the edge, which isn't possible with the Rtape using solvent based.
I might just have to tell people to go elsewhere...
Looks like some deflections in the cyan but the others look good. The 3rd image is your bi-directional adjustments, looks like you need to make those adjustments. Also check your heat settings for printing you might need to lower it.
I'm having some issues with the print getting "fuzzy" in random spots on the roll. I cleaned the encoder strip because I was having trouble printing all the way across the machine. Thats fixed, but the fuzzy printing is still there. I'm on a SP-540V
Any ideas?
So I'm using a SP-540V and well I'm finding that, because of age?, I'm having a hard time finding proper media profiles for my vinyl. (ie Arlon DPF 4560 GT).
Does anyone have a good resource of profiles to download? and if you can't find a proper profile what settings do you use? (Just for...
I might have to check into that. Thanks!
I think you most misunderstood my question. Like is it practical to set the Pressure Length and Perforation length both to say .03 in?
I tried on a small label but I think it was just too narrow (approx. .375in) to use and the perf tore off with me...
I haven't found anything on this and not even sure if it's possible. What I'm trying to achieve is printing rows of labels that have the shape kiss cut and then a perforation through them. They are used as a seal and want the vinyl to be easily breakable on the perfs.
I'm really not sure how to...
So I didn't end up having any cast laminate like I thought, but I did print with the 6mm clear around the cut and use a profile for Clear Solvent Film, because it had a low TAC%. I used my calendared laminate and they never curled and stayed nice and flat.
Thanks everyone!
I have some cast laminate I can try it. I did remember I have some clear solvent film with adhesive. I'm wondering if I can print on that an overlay it on the RTape silver? Maybe a cast lam over that...guess I'll have to try some experiments.
I'm about 3mm away. Do you think just bleeding the print off the edge would be better? Thanks!
I've got plenty of experience with offset printing just not with vinyl. It's a whole different world.
It's calendered laminate. The Rtape was given to me as well. I have some other material I'm going to try. I'm not going to laminate it and see.
If anyone can recommend any inkjet solvent printable chrome/metallic vinyls other than RTape, that would be great!
Thanks guys!
I had printed on some RTape vinyl efx smooth silver and laminated it. After about a week they started curling not really sure why. My guess at first might have been the adhesive, but I'm thinking it's probably the laminate because it's shrinking faster that the vinyl efx.
Anyone have...
