  1. Flexi on second computer

I have purchased a "second site license" for Flexi several times and have never paid anywhere near $2500. It's been quite some time but I believe it was more like $700 - $800
  2. Metallic printable vinyl

I've had very good results with Avery and Oracal metallic vinyls. Avery has a pearl white or at least they used to, if it's not still on their color chart I'll bet Sharpline Converting Inc. still has it.
  3. Cutting Table question

I'll have to disagree 110% with your opinion. My mat has been in use for over 8 years with absoloutly no problems what so ever. I think the only way you could wear it out is if you were using a utility knife on it with way too much force and actually cut through it or used a grinder on it or...
  4. Sweet Chrome Wrap

Color is irrelevant but here is what the Busa is capable of in the standing mile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BT2JjzHa-c
  5. Metalic Multi color Stripes

Universal uses Avery vinyl and Sharpline uses 3M and Avery vinyls, both offer some unique colors not available through standard sign vinyl distributors. These colors are primarily used within the RV and marine industries, call and ask for color chip charts. These can be very helpful if you do...

  7. Sweet Chrome Wrap

The all chrome Hayabusa has already been done many times, plated though not wraped. Definetly no my cup of tea, the chrome that is, love the Busa.
  8. Type of vinyl for temporary prices on vehicles

Oracal 3621 would work, clean easy removal.
  9. SP300 - Printing on Reflective Issues

  10. How to print quickly on Oracal 3651?

I assume your using Versaworks, I would try the GCVP profile and select high speed.

Gotta love the facial expressions on these varments.
  12. Dibond - how thick?

If he ordered aluminum signs then I would use aluminum, .080 is generally my choice. How did you price the signs not even knowing what substrate you would and should use?
  13. PC60 Colorcamm opinions

Contrary to popular opinion I just printed another $500 decal order on my Colorcamm. I love my boat anchor. :ROFLMAO:
  14. Solid color vinyl on cling??

I did one years ago that the customer used daily on the back window of a 2000 Honda Insight while parked. Those back windows are pretty much totally horizontal so it got it's fair share of direct sunlight. I used Avery white static cling with Oracal 651 opaque vinyls. Customer used this...
  15. Oracal 290F - Why Forward Wound & How To Web

Phototec, thank you so much. "THE GRIPPER FEET" I just went back and read my own post and found what I was overlooking, it's the direction of the gripper feer holding the lam roll itself. Being forward wound it nedds to be reversed on that shaft so when I apply tension the roll of lam is just...
  16. Oracal 290F - Why Forward Wound & How To Web

Just puzzles the heck out of me, seems as though the release liner rewind is running faster than the main feed. Maybe I'll try increasing the main speed although it seems odd that I do not encounter this problem with the reverse wound rolls. Was hoping someone else had previously encountered...
  17. Oracal 290F - Why Forward Wound & How To Web

Holy crap, I'm at my wits end here. I spent several hours today trying to successfully run Oracal 290F through my GBC Titan laminator, end result was extreme frustration and a LOT of wasted lam film. I have run many rolls of 210 & 290 which are reverse wound, the 290F is forward wound, WHY? I...
  18. I think I know the answer...

What your refering to as the substrate is actually called the "Release Liner" also refered to as backing paper or carrier but not substrate. A substrate is what you apply your vinyl/graphics too. Universal Products is a converter of Avery vinyl. And yes, the vinyl is sticking to the release...
  19. JOb help

I would choose a composite panel such as dibond and have it CNC router cut then apply digital print to cut out panel.

You mean to tell me that Home Depot actually still trains sales personel in Washington? :omg: They havn't done that here in Cali in over 12 years, hell your lucky if you can find one capable of operating the cash register so that you can pay for your goods and exit the store.
