  4. Help with Dried heads on Sp300v

I agree, replace the cap tops first, your heads may not even be clogged, if the captops warp and fail to seal well to the heads then the ink backs up in the lines towards the cartridges, you'll need to get a syringe to pull ink back to the heads.

I've had good results with Ultra-Flex and with Vyjet banner materials.
  6. Help with Dried heads on Sp300v

You leave the main power on at all times so that the machine cycles every 24 hours (comes on and pumps a small amount of ink through the heads to prevent them from clogging).
  7. Turning off heat after print/before cutting

Why not just print it w/crop marks then take the print out to allow it to fully dry, later reload print into printer w/heaters off and perform cut.

  10. printing on brushed silver mylar

Needs to be a material with a clear vinyl top layer such as VinylEFX by R Tape (ex Coburn Specialty Films). I believe Oracal has a printable version as well. By the way I was recently informed by a local distributor that the original creator of the Coburn Specialty Films is producing the...

I'm not sure if what I experience is the same lock-up the rest of you are refering to or not but in over three years Versaworks has only locked-up on me maybe three times, the cause has always been that there is a font in the artwork file that was not converted to paths and Versaworks cannot...

First off you need to establish a complete understanding of exactly what it is that you are talking about, vector is NOT a format! It is a type of computer graphic image, no wonder they are so confused, how can you expect the customer to understand what your talking about if you are using...

  18. SP300V not feeding straight.

Have you checked your rollers to make sure they are turning freely and are free of any contamination? I once experienced getting adhesive onto and inside the rollers from Oracal 3640, it's very cheap calendered vinyl which shrinks up on the roll exposing the water based adhesive and with your...

  20. 1 shot not drying

I've experienced this quite often with Chromatic Bulletin Enamels after Spraylat took over this line, my solution is to always use 1 Shot Hardner any time I'm using Chromatic or 1 shot enamels.
