what brand of latex are you using - just curious

call your local automotive refinishing (bodyshop) supplier. PPG , Dupont, Sikkens, Sherwin Williams . Many suppliers can mix colors for you and deliver everything you need for individual jobs.

i would use a mini HVLP spray gun and a quart might do it, but good to have extra on hand. that's too much area for aerosal spray cans.They say you can also roll it on with foam rollers but i never tried that. Anyone???

ya cant put polyester film on a banner. try using a cast copper metallic film- that's all you can do.

ps. if you go to a bodyshop for clear coating, advise them that the paint is very thin. minimal scuffing with a grey scotchbrite pad (NO DA) is all that is needed to prep for adhesion. you may even want to do that part yourself.

if you really want it to last longer, clear it with automotive urethane first. maybe ask a local bodyshop to do it for you. if not, you could use frog juice. makes a HUGE difference.

Evie, call SAI for tech support, have them walk ya through clearing your cue, that way if you have some kind of software snafu they can straighten it out for you. look in the picture, my finger is pointing to the head height adjustment lever . you would want it in the up position for banner media. it is in the up position in this picture.

Laminate in the shop. Use transfer tape.Good tip on starting from the meeting point. Should line up if frame is as square as the panels, but maybe leave a little wiggle room in the frame dimensions in case you need to shim. this is assuming you are making some kind of overlapping or extruded...

they musta , or you'd know by now. i still wont use avery vinyls,scared to, although i must admit i am using their new paint protection film. Different animal.

i dont use avery any more ever since there cast and calendered vinyls were taking a dump on all my jobs, but you would think that after they became aware of the situation, they would have gone to extreeeeme lengths fix the problem imeeediately... DID THEY?

are you using the right profiles for your media? maybe do a head clean cycle and turn the ink limit down on the black - in production manager, go to the advanced tab<output profiles button, and try setting the black to 75 or 80 % and see what happens.
