if you mean screen, (the white sponge) i keep it wet so it dissolves the ink collecting on it. it sounds like the print head is tilted to allow air to start drying out the yellow side.. otherwise i think there is air in the yellow line
are you applying this with a felt squeegee? are you using the "hinge method"?
felt is not as good as plastic. make sure your plastic is a straight edge.
hinge method works. i bet the back of your contact paper is collecting dust and putting it RIGHT where you are about to install it... :-D
even center taping it to a empty core doesn't help? ( my feeling is the actual core is "Warping" since its cardboard (total guess but if its 10-16 long..) and that creates slack in the middle, which, creates the tunnel big enough to wave a hot dog through... :-)
maybe the "backer" has changed? i use 651 as well and the only difference is when it gets colder in my shop (up in new england,) everything gets more brittle..
take the print head cover off. it sounds like a damper blew up. you need to shut at all down before you short out the print head. and start cleaning EVERYTHING.
i am going to run out of invoices. (what else is new.)

prob 2500 of them
