I should of put in a BUT. I use the paint on vinyl method for smaller bits that don't go on compound surfaces. At one point before digital printing I was doing a 3 stage paint process on white and black vinyl then cutting the painted vinyl. At the time I was using a House of Colors system...
I've run into this before. With a must have color match I get a spray bomb custom mixed at the auto paint store and spray white vinyl. Inexpensive and deadly accurate.
Just finished up yard signs and aluminum building ID signs with Oracal 3751RA/290G. The building ID panels are 17" 6061 discs that go up in the peak of the building. Those got edge sealed as well.
Client wanted the "forever" material. We delivered.
Hmmm...wonder what the neighbor kid would charge? He graduated last year with a Software Engineering degree. He's developing a fuel tax program for a logistics company right now.
Not knowing anything about your particular unit won't stop me.LOL Sounds like a level sensor or possible a failed/failing pump not tripping a "make"(pressure) switch. Could be as simple as a fuse or machine needing a reset.
Always check the easy stuff first.

It seems with things going cloud based the market is ripe for open source.
A cnc forum I belong to has an open source v-carve style program written by one of its members. Seems to work quite well as members have posted project photos. Best part is if you need to do something particular you PM...
Our XP is 32 bit. When we get a new PC it will have Win 7 on it. At some point I'll have a cnc in the shop and I'm going to try and run it with Linux.
If I had an ounce of computer intteligence I'd design an OS without all the garbage they come with now.
I'm always amused with MicroSoft's commercials. They always talk about how easy it is to keep track of your friends, or Tweet, or play with pictures blah blah blah... Never anything in a hardcore business environment. Never anything how it will help streamline mundane everyday business...
Will be interesting to see where this all ends up. The "designers" are apparently to stupid to realize they are slitting their own throats. I can see it now: "I'm a designer and live in a cardboard box".
Commoditization of talent is never a good thing.
The experiences I've had with odd specs are thus. They were written by an engineer or someone that overheard the term and likes to sound smart. Now that the specs have been written and filed they are followed blindly.
Just flame polish and send it out. They'll never know the difference.
We use Tufftape. It works well and is inexpensive. Have used Orabond in the past with no issues, but it got spendy. To tell the truth we have used so many different tapes through the years I can't remember all of them. Never had a tape related failure.

My college instructors for Illustrator and Graphic Repro would pound on us incessantly about cross platform compatibility/output. Design it once to be usable for any possibility they said. You don't make any money having to redo something that should have been done right in the first...
