  1. MIRROR TINT for building glass.

I've helped my friend the tinter on some jobs. When there's IG panels we take out the inside gasket. That way the film edge is "buried" out of sight for a super clean look.
  2. Pontoon Wrap with Collegiate Logo...What Would You Do?

It's about 5 grand to get a full license. Friend of mine did it a few years ago. He makes custom wall and desk clocks.
  3. What is low usage for a HP L25500?

That's only 30 rolls of material @ 54" wide x 150' long. (actually 29.841 rolls to be exact)
  4. Pencil & Paper!!!

That is amazing. The young girl I sat next to in Illustrator class could make a number two pencil sing. Her "doodling" was better than what most consider art. When she drew for pay she did portraits with a number two pencil and plain sheets of paper. Everyday she made me wonder what I was...
  5. Box Truck Dilemma

You guys should see some of the McDonalds box trucks around here. Sheeesh. Looks like a bunch of monkeys installed them. Bubbles, huge creases, all the mortal sins of installation. I don't care if it is coming off in a few weeks. If I ever need help the shop that does the installs wouldn't...
  6. What solution do I need to clean and flush jv3 printheads

Search for posts by artbot. He has a recipe for cleaning solution.
  7. MIRROR TINT for building glass.

Trust me when I tell you to hire it out. Specialized tools and techniques just like the sign trade. When jobs like this come up I give them to my friend that makes his living tinting. When he needs prints or signage I get the referral. Everyone is happy.
  8. Sp540v print issues.

Lots of non-firing nozzles in the black. Maybe the head is shot.
  9. Truck Install I did over the weekend.

Love the pig and cleaver detail.
  10. How Much Time for Box Truck?

I would think 6 or 7 hours should be plenty. I did an 18' box truck for REBATH by myself and it took around 7 hours. Although it wasn't a full wrap. It was made up of many small to huge pieces that had to be installed according to corporate guidelines. Passenger and driver doors, hood the...
  11. Wow talk about new directions

All I can say is Good for You!!! My life is immeasurably better since I changed "course" over 4 years ago. Money is not where the true gold lies.
  12. Brian Block

Unless it is a slam dunk simple design I go to the sketch book. Sketching out roughs gets other parts of the brain going. Doesn't matter if you can sketch well or not. I certainly can't, but it tends to eliminate the "blockage".
  13. Copper vinyl?

Check with Outwater Plastics. They may have something although I think it is a Formica type material.
  14. Sp540v print issues.

    Roland inks?
  15. Newbie from Wisconsin

    Welcome from Green Bay.
  16. So, who here can put a logo on a soccer ball and it hold up to play?

IIRC someone on this site used HTM for t-shirts and it seemed to work decent. Don't remember how he heat pressed it on though.
  17. 1614 splatters

Did you swab the sides of the heads and surrounding area? Visual check for fuzz ain't gonna cut it. The only other thing is to remove the carts and shake gently for five seconds or so then replace. I had issues a couple times with what the tech termed and overpressure in the ink bladder...
  18. CDL Truck or not?

[B] It would appear I understand quite a bit. And you're getting stressed out for nothing. I've been there done that since I travel to race. I also talk to the truckers whose trucks I letter. Besides my BIL being in the trucking business. I need to be prepared wherever I go and that...
  19. CDL Truck or not?

Gino is correct. You have to get a Fed Med card physical every two years to legally operate a commercial vehicle. They are administered by a DOT licensed MD. Just because I drag race, and my rig is over 10,001lbs I have to comply with a morass of things that cost money every time I blink...
  20. CDL Truck or not?

What about one of the huge Genie lifts? I've used them at my old job and you can stuff them places a class 8 with crane will never get to. The other thing is you won't have a class 8 with crane sitting if it gets slow.(and Genie lifts will sell in a heartbeat) Class 8 trucks are also...
