  1. Few questions RE: HP Printer Vs Roland.

    Care to elaborate?
  2. Large Wall Mural

I agree, but they specifically requested a high tack vinyl.
  3. Big squeege for wall murals?

If the vinyl will be air release and have application tape on it maybe I can use an empty 3" cardboard core as a big squeege. Seems once you have hte top 6" laid down, and 4' of backer pulled down, that you could just run the core down the vinyl. Anybody ever try that?
  4. Big squeege for wall murals?

Can I ask what type of vinyl you used and about how long your install was? We think we want to use an air release vinyl, unlaminated but with medium tack application tape. We are thinking of adding app tape to make the install easier, unlaminated vinyl tends to stretch, but laminate isn't...
  5. Big squeege for wall murals?

I figured the bs was capable, but you alluded to what I was afraid of, driver error. The install of this mural is next monday and tuesday. So even if I can get a bs in time for the job... we'll have little to no time to practice with it and don't want to learn on the fly with this job...
  6. Large Wall Mural

80'x14' wall wrap, ceiling to floor. They requested that we do not use low tack vinyl as they have had bad experience in the past with it. Wall wrap will only be up for 3-4 months and they don't care if there is any damage to the drywall when it is removed. Wondering how others would go about...
  7. Big squeege for wall murals?

Will be installing an 80'x14' wall mural soon and wondering if a big squeege would speed it up much. The panels will be 52"x14' installed vertically, and go from ceiling to floor. Have read a lot on here at how well the big squeege works, but have never used one myself. Would it work well for...
  8. How are these made?

I figured the DG3 would have to be layered and not printable. But hand cutting? Wouldn't have thought that, never worked with DG3 before, must be some pretty tough stuff. Looks like farming out might be the way to go. Any suggestions who to use? Grimco has them but hopping to find a better...
  9. How are these made?

Looking to bid on some of these crosswalk signs, and trying to figure out if it would make sense to keep them in house. What is the normal means of producing these? The fluorescent yellow-green and white parts are DG3 reflective, and the black and red parts seem to be opaque. Can the...
  10. Yellow blocks in print

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure that is what's going on with ours too, at least I hope. Tech coming out today or tomorrow to replace the ribbon cable for the yellow head.
  11. Yellow blocks in print

Any other ideas on what might be causing this? Anybody ever have a similar problem?
  12. Yellow blocks in print

Waiting for my roland tech to call back.
  13. Yellow blocks in print

That is something that I thought of as well, but how can I tell if there is a short? I looked for any noticeable kinks but didn't see any.
  14. Yellow blocks in print

Roland xj540 printing yellow blocks and vertical lines. Seems to be in the same horizontal area of the prints, but different patterns of blocks and lines. Just randomly appears. Printed the same file a few times and got the blocks in different spots vertically, but pretty much the same...

Anybody know the font for Long Gone?
  18. New wrap for shop truck

Love the business name, it is similar to ours... Here is one of our shop trucks, reflective vinyl. Logo was designed by Jill, she's great. I would agree, your layout looks kind of like a tile company until you read the fine print. We do wraps, but I feel that our simple truck layout is...
  19. Need Help Quick Please

So I hate to be pushy, but any advice on this?
  20. Need Help Quick Please

I'm pretty sure that is what's going on. Can you see the little patches right below the flash in the picture? Those are where the lam peeled up. This is a brand new vehicle, I have spoke with the sheriff about the problem and he says the car came with the door and roof wrapped right from...
