  1. Cutting - little bumps on Zero and %

It used to be used to do line drawings and blueprint type stuff. Most people don't use it anymore. It also is used to do alignments.
  2. Cutting - little bumps on Zero and %

Cut 1 for sure. Pen is for using a pen which has no offset.
  3. Question Need Help with Test Prints- Roland XC-540

With the amount of deflections I am seeing on the Cyan and Black heads, they are most likely fried and need to be replaced. You can try soaking them and flushing them with cleaning solution but in my experience those heads look like they are done. The fact that there is so much deflection also...
  4. Cutting - little bumps on Zero and %

If you were cutting fine prior to this issue it wouldn't be the offset setting. As Joe House stated, I would check the blade for damage. It might have been due to the media not being straight as well.
  5. Cutting - little bumps on Zero and %

The first thing that comes to mind is your offset setting could be wrong. What angle blade are you using and what is your offset set to?
  6. Problem with cjv30-160 (cover)

The CJV shares a main board with the JV33 which does have covers. Did you follow the instructions and place the jumper cable in the proper socket? Did you install firmware and parameters yet?
  7. Question What's on your desk?

A Valuejet heater junction board that is fried, 2 fried JV3 slider boards, fried GX24 panel board, fried GS6000 main board, 60ml syringe, jeweler's loupe, set of allen wrenches, etc. I am learning to fix fried boards in my spare time so I have a little collection building.
  8. roland vp-540 cyan

A head can print a perfect test print and still be fried. The test print uses the largest dot which is the easiest to print. Once you go and actually print something though, it uses other dot sizes as well that can show a problem that didn't show in the test print. Most of the time you can test...
  9. Hello Idiot (Me): Discharge & Wash CJV30

You need to hold function and remote at the same time. It sounds like you are just holding remote which brings you into F/W update mode not service mode.
  10. Mutoh Valuejet 1614 IP address

Mutoh's will reset the IP address sometimes if the power goes out or something similar. Double check that the IP address on the printer is still what you think it is. The default is 192.168.1.253 which is what it resets back to when it does reset. Also, you can run the command "arp -a" in dos...
  11. Gs6000 Printhead Clean Or Replace?

    1) The dampers, which are standard parts on the machine, are in line filters. So you don't need to add anything but you might want to change the dampers as they are recommended to be changed once a year. 2) Ultra sonic cleaners are a scam and don't work any better than a manual flush. You could...
  12. Need Help Replacing JV33-260 Printhead

Normally I don't replace ink lines unless I can determine that they are broken which is usually not the case. I normally don't even flush the machine either but if you want to start out nice and fresh, it's not going to hurt anything and you may get longer life out of the filters in the dampers...
  13. 'Cannot find port" error message

Shoot, I am stumped. I have run into this issue with a Mimaki JV3 one time and it ended up being a bios setting I had to change to fix it. The problem is I was working off of the advice of one of Mimaki's software guys so I have no idea what it ended up being to help you out.
  14. Error 181

It means the pinch roller is not in the proper place. The pinch roller mechanism has a triangle engraved on it. That triangle has to be between the two triangles that you see on the rail. Basically, the actual rubber roller has to be over the part of the metal roller that has texture and that is...
  15. Need Help Replacing JV33-260 Printhead

The most important thing to do is protect the machine from electrical shorts that can damaged the head and other boards in the machine. Turn the machine off, unplug it, hit both power buttons a couple times and then wait about 15 minutes before doing anything. I have actually tested the power...
  16. Maine in the fall

I grew up in New Hampshire which might as well be Maine. You will see signs for lobster rolls everywhere and they will be cheap and you will get sick of them. Make sure to try other local foods as well so you don't get burnt out on lobsta. There are a lot of homesteaders out there so you will...
  17. Mutoh 1204 white stripes?

    Demo mode?
  18. Lxi software

You probably just need to contact the software developer and have them re-register it in your name. Since you have the product code and user ID that shouldn't be a problem.
  19. Versawork on router

Yes. Versaworks has nothing to do with it. You just need to setup the network properly.
  20. Fuzzy Prints on VG540

Yeah that's alignment issues for sure. It's so bad I might even think the head is physically out of alignment and not just the bi-directional.
