I'm not a savvy Corel user but it sounds like when saving a PDF Corel might only pick up what is in the art board? If the part of the file that overlaps the art board is all white I would assume that is the reason.
After a couple orders from people with stolen credit cards and regular old charge backs, we called our merchant provider and asked what we needed to do to avoid these situations. They were very helpful. You get way fewer charge backs from swipe transactions than you do for online transactions so...
Interesting. Thanks for posting that. So in 6 years you spent about $3700 on heads. I am wondering why the machines were repalced so much. Just upgrading or do they wear out that fast?
You get all of the money back and the merchant pays a penalty. The merchant can appeal but the card holder almost always wins. All the card holder has to do in this case is say, I paid and never got the product. In this case the card company would request the card holder show proof that she sent...
I'd be curious to see a study on the lifetime cost of running solvent and latex. If you take care of a solvent printer, your $2000 heads should last 5+ years. I have seen heads last up to 9 years in some cases. If you have to replace a latex head every couple months at $100 a pop, you could...
If you have a full version of Flexi, you should be able to setup the Roland as a machine in the production manager and that will allow you to add Roland crop marks to your prints. That way you can just bring it over to the Roland and cut from Flexi.
If you have an HP only version of Flexi, I...
That's an electrical issue. Usually it is due to a short in the head cable, a short in the head, damaged CR"Trailing" cables or main board issues. Most of the time it is the head or head cables that are damaged and need to be replaced.
A DX4 head is a DX4 head and they are all technically Epson heads. You can take a DX4 head out of a Mimaki, Mutoh or Epson and put it in a Roland and it will work just the same. They do make two different kinds however. One has a solvent resistant manifold and one doesn't but the electronics...
When you did the cleaning cycles are you 100% sure that ink actually flowed through the head? I am thinking that the cap top for that head was bad already and you just didn't notice until the new head was installed. It happens all the time. So the cap top probably didn't seal with the head so no...
Man I wish I had a version in front of me and i could find it. Try going into the start menu in windows and find the folder Rasterlink is installed in. There should be a folder or icon that is labeled, "License" it could be in there.
Oh ok. it should be in the help or about menu. There should be a menu about the version of the software and that menu will also show you the password. I don't have a copy in front of me right now so I can't remember what it's actually called.
The license password is located on a sticker inside the case the software comes in. If the machine is registered to another computer and you need to deactivate it so you can reactivate it on your computer, go here: Mimaki Web License Page
Also, call Mimaki and ask them about a free upgrade to...
The SP series from Roland are some of the best used machines I have worked on. If it's in good shape, it's a good machine. The Vg series I have heard there are some bugs they are still working out.
We move used printers all the time in a n enclosed trailer like you are preparing for. If you can't find the screw that locks the head, just make sure that the head is in the docked position and then put some styrofoam against it and tape it nice and tight. The key is to make sure the head...
