The root of the issue is that the profiles that come with the printer were made in a different place with different environmental conditions to where you are and it affects the way the ink behaves. The best solution to this is to make your own profiles which can be expensive even if you do it...
You got it. I normally have my settings around 33, 35, 50 but it is going to be a little different for most people depending on the environment and what type of media you are running. 50 on the post heater helps ink curing and shouldn't affect the media.
There is no fuse that controls just 1 channel on that machine and in 9 years of working on machines I have never seen a damaged cable affect only 1 channel as well. There is a chance that a transistor on the main board has failed but usually you get major streaking in that case. I would check...
It's most likely not the card reader. You can clean that part with alcohol and it should be fine. It's more likely the pack end sensor that detects whether a cartridge is installed and if it is empty or not. Over the years the sensor can be pushed out of place and cause issues like this.
So you replaced the entire capping station? Normally people just change the cap top so I just want to be sure. It is still probably a capping issue. Try crimping 1 of the waste tubes and then pull with a syringe from the other tube while the head is docked. You should get major resistance and if...
I would take the memory out and air dust the entire main board then re-seat the memory. If that doesn't work, you might have electrical damage on the main board.
There is no adjustment for the cap but that is a pretty common issue with the JV33 and CJV30s. The cap slider wears out and causes the cap to be slightly off. This is the part I'm talking about.
It's hard to tell just by looking at it but there is no apparent damage. The rows of nozzles are easy to see which usually means the head is older but other than that it looks normal.
It looks like there may be physical damage to the nozzles on the magenta. Did you have a head strike recently? Check the bottom of the head and see if you see a scratch or dent near the magenta nozzles. If there is, you need a new head.
If not, the first thing to check is that all of the...
Yeah that capping station looks pretty bad. We sell the cap top and throw the slider in for free. The slider goes bad on older CJVs and causes the cap top to not seal up properly. Judging by the bottom of your head, the cap is slightly off alignment. We'll help you install over the phone as well!
With current promos you can get the 130 for $500 more than the 75. Almost every customer I have ever had who said, "I don't need the bigger size right now." came back 6 months later wanting to upgrade. If you truly only do bumper stickers and promotional stickers then 30" is fine but after the...
Usually the more space you have open on a drive that is processing the files the better. That being said, unless the E drive is a solid state drive it probably won't have a noticeable performance difference.
Mimaki is just competing. HP and Epson both made a huge push into the sign printing part of the industry starting about 5 years ago and have quickly gained huge market share as they are huge companies compared to Mimaki and can afford to sell their machines for cheaper to gain market share...
