Definitely not a "font". Benguiat may work as a substitute. Love....Jill
  4. Race Car Design Challenge

Here ya go, Joe. Remember I don't do race cars. So I don't know the placement but I know green is bad luck right? This car is off an ancient CD. It would be made out of old sign pieces, coro, speaker wire, a Snapper lawn mower engine, tinfoil and some mismatched old tires my kid has out...
  5. What does this look like

Have no idea but I'll bump this up for the morning crew. Love....Jill
  6. Rained out

I'm rained out on an outdoor paint job for tomorrow. It's not supposed to storm until late afternoon but I just can't take the risk. A farming friend was just recently telling me about tractors and GPS and all that jazz. Had no idea it was so detailed. Love....Jill
  7. Name suggestions for gift sign? (pottery maker)

Well as it turned out I ended up talking to Bob. He told me that he and his girlfriend wanted a sign with their cats names on it! I used barn slate for that rough feel. It would have been more fun to use one of the great suggestions I got.
  8. Just in time for the playoffs!

Someone ordered a camp sign for their brother-in-law, who goes by the name "Hoser"! This has nothing to do with hockey but I also did a boat this week and at the last minute made the sun look not as cute. Got all my work done in time for the Pittsburgh/Montreal game. Love....Jill PS Both my...
  9. Pen Plotting with CE5000-60?

Where at? Details, please, and explain like you are talking to the dumbest person you ever met. Because you probably are. Also wondering if I should plot in reverse so I can pounce in reverse, which always worked best for me with my 4E. Thanks.
  10. Anybody seen Mosh?

I heard he was attending the combined Gun Show and Mullet contest up in Erie. It's hosted by Milwaukee's Beast. And impregnating some broad named Ravonda-Jo. While he's in the area he's going to be lettering a fleet of big tow trucks, cheap. Love.....Jill
  11. Wrap installation Brokering?

I think there is a bit more to this story.
  12. Would like some feedback - wrap for my shop van...

Do hire Joe, and while he's doing the layout start learning how you can do this too (if you can) there is no shame in hiring a designer if design is not your forté. I am glad you are realizing that your existing "logo" isn't really doing a darn thing to make your company visible or desirable to...
  13. Pen Plotting with CE5000-60?

Anyone tried this? I need to hand-pounce some patterns and plan to pen plot them. There is a tiny manual in the box with the pen tip, and I did read it. But any quick tips on what the settings should be? :thankyou: Love....Jill
  14. Would like some feedback - wrap for my shop van...

I think I would leave the collage for on my website. For some reason, and maybe it's just me, it seems weird to put pix of other customer's signs and things on one's own vehicle. Glad you didn't take my comments the wrong way. :)
  15. 2010 Nor'easter?

Yes but September weather is usually glorious. Not sure how it is in NJ tho.
  16. Would like some feedback - wrap for my shop van...

Luggnut I kinda like that, it's tacky but still stands out. Makes me crave a draft beer and some peanut M&Ms. OK here is a mock up. I am NOT a wrap designer! Tried to use your logo, a grunge font, and fire. (said in a Beavis/Butthead voice) The stripe would have to be cut and layered...
  17. Would like some feedback - wrap for my shop van...

Well if you are stuck on that logo at least stretch it out a bit horizontally. It is virtually illegible. :)
  18. 4 year old masked oracal 651, still good to go?

I never pre-layer stuff. Try it and see, I am thinking the same as jhill. You may have to spray the masking with Rapid Tac or Windex (or even plain water) to loosen it up after applying. Love....Jill
  19. 2010 Nor'easter?

Gino I think it took me 6 hours. Probably 5 to drive home even though I got lost twice. hahaha And I am with those who can't show up Labor Day weekend, that is my second family reunion. Hey, we have a big family.
  20. Would like some feedback - wrap for my shop van...

First thing is what was just said above. Lose that tag line. You want to be known as the cheapest shop in town? Because that is what is implied. The font choices do not go together well. The logo font is squeezed to pieces. The outlines are more powerful than the lettering. Try just one...
