I don't understand why they have a problem with this. I don't use foamcore, hate the stuff, but would have done it the same as you on pvc. Unless they specified the job for prints I don't see an issue. How you handle it depends on whether are willing to lose on this job to keep the client happy...

Yep, our scrap dealer doesn't want any ACM, just solid aluminum. I may get away with a little other stuff mixed in that is attached to old sign boxes but they check out the aluminum loads pretty carefully.

I'm surprised they don't have their own. We do work in a few places that require you take a brief "class" with their safety coordinator and have a list of the plant rules to follow. I would just go online and find a standard one and copy it.
