    first window in your preflight, select "none" for cutter if you forget to do so, and your file is ripped already.... right click your job in your print que, select info, and you can change your cutter to "none" there as well.

    can't simply add a feathered shape overlay of the color you are trying to hit? you'll blend the gradient to the color you're trying to hit.

    +1 phototex cuts horrible. also, most cranes are completely saturated in oil/hydraulic fluid. +1 to mag striping most likely being your best bet.

    +1 this never seen a cast vinyl do this, i've even applied vinyl over a decade-old to banners/lexan/everything and its never cracked like that... distinct tearing stemming from the corners of cuts. most definately calendared vinyl, you got there. mislabeled/mistaken product maybe?

    leaving my rip software to process effects/appearances in illy such as dropshadow/outerglow/etc. always yields the same result. problem solved via illustrator>photoshop>illustrator prior to print.
