  1. vj-1324 profile

If you ask 10 people what material they use and which profile, you will get 10 different answers. For car wraps, you will use a cast vinyl, most likely with air egress and re-positional adhesive, and also laminate with a cast laminate. For decals, use a calendared vinyl. There are many brands...
  2. Roland print "scratch"

The black head does look like it is missing a few nozzles but seems to be covered by multiple passes. I think you are actually getting head strikes which is why you are getting scratches on the left side of the material. Turn up the vacuum, turn down the heaters and double check that the...
  3. Pesky dust particles

Back in my sign shop days we used a Swiffer duster to dust off the substrate first. It works really well and is cheap!
  4. Media take-up system - DIY?

Wow. That looks pretty beefy for the price. Let us know how it works out if you go with it. Would be very interesting.
  5. Epson GS6000 Weird Pattern Micro Weaving Error?

It's cross-contamination. I bet if you run a nozzle check you will see just a couple nozzles that are slightly black on the top or bottom of your test print. Every time the head makes a pass a little more black gets dropped down and starts to show up in the print. Check your pump for clogs first...
  6. Media take-up system - DIY?

I was thinking $700 compared to the couple grand Roland would want for one was a good deal. I have seen a couple people set up their own motorized take up reel and some have gone as far to use light sensors and other gadgets to control the take up. It's definitely doable. It just depends on his...
  7. Media take-up system - DIY?

I can get you one for $695 that is motorized and mounts to your stand without drilling holes. Feel free to call for more information! 303-733-6671
  8. Ready2Print banner

They designed it for the 1204B which had recessed channels in the platen to allow the grommets to not get hit by the print head. People in Canada were using it before the 1204B ever came out. I'm assuming you are using the hemmed but not grommeted version which Mutoh should have both kinds in stock.
  9. Ready2Print banner

I'm pretty sure Mutoh partnered with them to make it for their 1204 banner printer. Give them a try.
  10. Mutoh Parts

    Just sent a PM!
  11. Roland CX-24 plotter blade angle

There should be no angle to the blade holder or else your machine is broken. You can get different degree blades such as 45 and 60 degree which are most common but you cannot change any angles on the machine itself.
  12. Cutting Master3 won't launch in Illustrator CS6

Cutting Master 3 is a stand alone program that has a bridge from illustrator. So the fact that it installed to the desktop is not a problem. There should be a Cutting Master 3 item in your file menu but it may be under export or some other sub menu. If it's not there I would just call Graphtec...
  13. E016 TLB - S(03) Error

E016 TLB - S(03) is specifically a main board error that has to do with data storage on the memory. With the machine powered off and unplugged, after waiting about 15 minutes for the machine to discharge, pull the memory card out of the main board and use duster to clean out the terminal and the...

Welcome from Denver! Let us know if you need any service work on your machines. We also carry an assortment of vinyl, ink and other sign supplies.
  15. Mutoh Valuejet 1204 No Magenta - Please Help!!!

Unfortunately Sign Warehouse has an exclusive license on the 1204s so they may be your only option for a new one. Mutoh dealers are not allowed to sell 1204s to sign shops but we can sell to non-sign shops. I would look in to upgrading to the 1324 which is faster and 54". We have one in our...
  16. cartridge turned upside down

I've seen this happen once or twice. The only way to remove the cartridge without doing more damage is to disassemble the cartridge holder. This is not the easiest part to disassemble by far. Even if you get the cartridge out, like heyskull said, there may be damage to the needle and sensors...
  17. Mutoh Valuejet 1204 No Magenta - Please Help!!!

My thoughts exactly. I would never go on a service call and take 3 hours to notice a bubble in the ink line. A good tech always has dampers and cap tops on him no matter what the original issue is.
  18. Roland "Service Call 0110"

I would run the limit position initialize function. It sounds like the carriage is not resting in the proper position so it is having issues unlocking the head.
  19. Price check, aisle 1 (ce5000-60)

There is one on Ebay right now for $799 which includes the plotter, software, computer and vinyl.
  20. eco sol max inks safe?

Phthalates. They are chemicals that help make the vinyl softer usually used in calendared vinyls. I just had a customer that had to upgrade all of their products to cast vinyl because they make a product for children and were required to be phthalate free to be considered child friendly.
