Other than that I would hit the "Yellow Pages" and find an engineer that will work with you.

I agree with Gary. A strap up the side, 2" wide would be nice. Round the top edges and drill a hole for hanging.
depending on the sign design it could be made to look industrial, paint it black and use some lags to fasten it.

I saw these two signs were still up after 30 years, done while I worked at Morgan Sign CO (now gone).
The electric sign face is cut out red & black acrylic pinned to a white acrylic face. The face details were hand painted with black one shot. The other sign is .040 aluminum all hand lettered...
uhh....none. Vinyl doesn't like wood unless it's been painted, in which case there are other materials to consider.
When you say wood signs around sign makers you are referencing carved, sandblasted or natural plank backgrounds.

There a few books out there about getting into the sign business, try Signcraft magazines website and Ebay.
And did you ever think about getting a job in a sign shop to see what's involved?

The IJ35C looks like a possibility, have you ever used it without laminating or transfer tape? We will be able to lay the panel down on a table while we work on them.
I have a project where I need to cover aprx 12 existing gatorfoam panels with white vinyl. They interior and are 60"x68" and smooth.
I have to use something that is opaque. So I need something 60" wide, but I guess I could live with seams if absolutely necessary,
but would prefer not to. I don't...
Ask around, maybe some customers, other businesses, your accountant to see who else is available.
We use a local service started by a former ADP employee, they are reasonably priced and very responsive to special requests.
