  1. weighted table top sign bases?

We use coro and score and fold so they create their own stand with a velcro tab or two to hold them together. the space created by the folded back gives a good spot to put a weight or they can tape them down.
  2. What is a Vinyl Sticker and what is a Vinyl decal?

I'm with Tim, we usually refer to what we do as "Vinyl Graphics", though when selling items for customer application we will use the "Decal" term. Stickers are what my kids get on their homework.
  3. Sign Cleaning

It's more common with electric signs but applicable to any sign. I always recommend the customer wash & wax their sign twice a year, but most don't and I've only had a few ask to have it done.
  4. Vinyl on painted marine plywood

Back in the day...oh, never mind. It should be fine.
  5. What should I look for before buying a used printer?

My two suggestions. If you are hell bent on buying a used printer and you are not an expert technician buy a used/refurb with soem kind of warranty from a dealer. Used to use Blinkety Blanks in Cali
  12. Dry erase calendar

We do these with dry erase laminate, never tried printing on any of the dry erase films, except in the Edge. I would use coro or PVC, never liked foamcore, gets damaged too easily

  14. Custom Feather Flags

Not sure, but if you sell them you should set up a merchant account, lots of potential customers here.
  15. another TBT

Saw this wood sign I hand lettered about 15 years ago. The client gave us the salvaged boards and we used them unfinished as requested. Battened on the back, cut the ends and handlettered. It's holding up OK and gave him the vintage look he wanted.
  16. "Hammered" finish aluminum

Looks like something Outwater Plastics may carry
  17. The right way to install a 24' x 12' aluminum sign

We did a very similar job. As Gino suggested we had more struts and built it in a few sections to ease transport. On site we assemble it into one piece. we set the bottom brackets ahead of time. Then it was picked up with a crane and rested on the bottom brackets while a guy in a bucket did the...
  18. Signs365 Laminate failure

Actually the quality of sign paint has deteriorated to the point where many colors just don't hold up. Now the longest lasting option for most signs is cut cast vinyl.
  19. Signs365 Laminate failure

Good to hear that Baz, I use it a lot for "economy" outdoor signs, but expect it to last longer than a couple years.
  20. Signs365 Laminate failure

I will be interested to see their response. A "5 year" film should last more than a year.
