  3. Whats the ideal pricing for banner and stickers?

You're biggest flaw, Sticker, is........ You're basing your costs on each item you sell, not your monthly costs, divided between your sales for the month. With your method, if you do 8 banners a month..... you're only putting 50¢ a square foot towards your entire overhead. That won't pay...

No, not at all, unless you're satisfied with a coupla weeks. However, should this sign be indoors, it will have a better chance.

  8. Whats the ideal pricing for banner and stickers?

While I agree wholeheartedly with ya, signman, some people just don't have the luxury of having all the printers and equipment, you have, let alone staff. Therefore, they hafta rely on top notch specs and proofing before sending files out and about. They need to check all of their calculations...
  9. HELP! Signs sticking together

In this kinda weather, anything is gonna stick together, unless you sheet each and every one. If they weren't laminated or sheeted, I'm afraid you're gonna have quite a few to do over, again. Just be prepared.

  11. Touching up prints.

Deco pens come broad tip and fine point. Probably have 40 or 50 of them laying around. They're lacquer based, too.
  12. Protecting Blockout Scrim Banner

I'd never tell someone a banner will last 5 years. The basis for a banner is first..... it's a temporary sign and next, it's not supposed to last more than 2 or 3 years. Liquid laminate and according to the direction it's facing will all play a part, but don't be telling people they'll go 5...

Keep this post with you and use it and me as incentive. That's the first good thing I heard from you in this entire thread. You can do it. Just think it through and don't give up. You can do it.
  16. What to do about a failed install?

Don't get me wrong. We all have been here once or maybe several times. The core of the problem is how it was handled and how it's being interpreted, now that it went south. There's no fighting or name calling necessary. The OP used a few other examples. Let's put the shoe on the other...
  17. Touching up prints.

According to the importance of the job and how critical someone will be, many times, you can do a dry coat of liquid clear in the vicinity of the problem, and THEN hit it with your pen or whatever else you use. Once the piece is entirely laminated, it shouldn't show at all. I also use Decor...
  18. sign for new hair salon bit of help plz...

Personally, I don't care what the place is called I'm going in to. If there're girls in there, fine. They can wash and cut hair for men or boys, too. Just don't ask me for a manicure and don't trim my frickin' beard or I'll shoot you no matter who you are. What I don't understand is the need...
  19. What to do about a failed install?

Let me refer to you as, Peter Griffin, of s101, in that case. You see, the difference is, you accepted a contract and were going to accept full pay, then failed, ruined his graphics and now you wanna skip out not replacing what you did wrong. All of your garbage about he said this or he did...
  20. What to do about a failed install?

So, in this case, you're suggesting he charge $425. just to instal ?? So, $425. + $170 = all but $600. Sound fair ?? With that angle, if you don't know how to do something or are unsure of yourself charge 2-1/2 times more than it's worth ?? When you are confident, just charge a minimum...
