Thanks vid, so glad you like it. That is a transparency. And it is called a Transparency tool in Corel. Yes, almost every vector has a separate gradient. Some have a gradient and transparency for compound shades. Also used radial and conical gradients in places. Maybe later I'll post some...

Thanks for the input, I agree. Just finished it up last night and tried several different backgrounds with various shadows. I will probably tweak this quite a bit yet.

Some times I have to get away from fonts. A little vector project to clear my mind. All Vector in Corel X6.

I have X6 and only a few crashes, I love that Corel finally came around with the open type automatic ligature and alternates feature. The elliptical gradient sounds good but, like someone else said, how will it convert to ai.

I do agree that it's presumptuous for Cricut to tell their customers they can get free vinyl from any sign shop. But maybe they will remember I was nice to them and recommend me to someone after they have given up on their part time vinyl cutting business.

I usually just give them whatever scraps I have laying around. Most of it I would just throw out anyway. They are just hobbyist, no real threat to business.

We still use a fax to send invoices. One customer insists that he send drawing of the signs he wants. No dedicated line. Do you have a printer? When we shopped for printers we found it hard not to find one that was fax, printer, scanner, copier all in one.

Very Odd. Gino's conclusion sounds good. Something ran onto it from above to effect the adhesive, but since it's not effecting the gray it had to happen before the vinyl was applied. I'll be interested to hear your ideas. Was the name stored separately from the rest of the vinyl before...
